Visit a la Lucia soon. They'll be closing at the end of the year. Wonderful food, pleasant ambiance, great service. Sad to lose them in the North Old Town neighborhood!

I am truly sad this restaurant will close at the end of the year. Love the atmosphere, food, and most of all the service. Nice neighborhood establishment away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Alexandria.

It was okay. Used to be better. Service was slow and dinner came a loooong time after ordering.

These people know exactly what to put in a delicious antipasto cheese platter. Sumptuous goat cheese, fresh meat and salty olives. I have never felt so fulfilled by an Italian restaurant.

I haven’t felt this cheated in a long time. The portion of pasta I received was the smallest portion I’ve seen EVER! And for 25 bucks!?! Never coming here again. It wasn’t even anything to rave about.

It's a shame this place is closing. I wish I had ventured off King Street sooner.

The food here is always good, and A LA Lucia always has a robust local clientele - people who come all the time. They have daily specials, wonderful bread with olive oil, and servers who also have been there awhile and who know the offerings by heart, and can describe them. Go when you can because the building there will eventually be torn down, and we will lose another great little pearl of a restaurant in North Old Town. We've already lost Thanida Thai and Perks from this location. A LA Lucia keeps on truckin' despite the ambiguity of when the building will eventually go. Try it, you will like it - authentic Italian.

We are sad that A La Lucia will be closing soon as the complex of which it is a part has been sold. It has been a wonderful part of the fabric of Old Town dining for many years, serving delicious Italian dish in a warm and welcoming ambiance. We thank owner and Chef Michael Nayeri and his staff for providing us with such a treasured neighborhood restaurant for so many years. You will be missed.

Always a delicious dinner. The mussels are so yummy - the spicy white wine sauce begs to be sopped up with their homemade focaccia bread. Love the 25% discount on wine Sunday - Tuesday.

Love this place. The vibe is relaxed, the food is great. The people are friendly and welcoming. A wonderful neighborhood spot. Go soon as they say their lease runs out soon and their building will be redeveloped.
