So good!! Went for brunch and had mahimahi sandwich and that was soo good. Wood fire grill stuff tastes so good!! The burger was average but other than that its a solid place. Servers are 10/10

The food and service was very good. Unfortunately we were a party of 11 and we were squeezed onto a table which would have been a struggle for 10. The dining room was very loud and it was difficult to hold conversation.

Food was mediocre. Steak has so much garlic butter that the steak flavor was hard to find. Asparagus was good

So, about a year ago, I had gone to a restaurant with a couple of acquaintances and gotten an unforgettable lemon cheese cake with a blueberry drizzle. Fast-forward a year later I still remember that cheesecake so was in Alexandria with the same acquaintances, so I asked the name of that restaurant. Acquaintance could not remember but said maybe it was Ada’s. Went to Ada‘s, I ordered the closest thing which was a “cheesecake tower with orange” and graham… What came out was absolutely the most idiotic dessert I ever saw. Thankfully, they let me send it back. I got the lemon tart instead, which also promised a blueberry drizzle. It was underwhelming. Cold, with a rock hard crust and inexplicable bits of burnt marshmallow. However, the Prosecco I had with it was very good so…That’s why three stars.

On the way out I looked at the menu at Barco, next-door, and they had a Basque cheesecake, which I always wanted to try. And I really think that the place I ate at last year was Barco and not Ada’s. The dessert chef at Ada’s should go look at the dessert menu at Barco’s to get some better ideas. Most importantly, I’m not going to remember the desserts I had at Ada‘s a year from now… Unless it’s to remember how disappointing they were.

Great look, great views, great service and great food. Wood fired grill and seafood spot so close to the water you could fish it out yourself. The feeling is sheik and sophisticated, definitely an elevated bite. The menu and wine were good top to bottom but definitely enjoy the seafood in eyeshot of the Potomac. For a big night out Ada's is terrific.

I've been to Ada's twice. First time I had no issues, but my most recent visit for bunch was awful from both a service and food quality perspective. My fried chicken biscuit tasted off and the chicken was undercooked. The server was absent until everyone was done, which was too late to send it back. Ada's is at a nice location by the water, but I didn't think I would ever try it again.

By far one of the most awful restaurants I've been to in Alexandria. The crab cake was disgusting. It was wet and filled with breading. Will never return. Yuck.

We had an end of the year get together for our office here. I arrived about 6 min early- they said "You are the first one to arrive" but nothing else and wouldn't seat me...then a couple more people came trickling in- and then they say "give us a few minutes"; although, it was 6 min past our reservation time. It seemed like the front staff was just chatting- and having laughs.

First things first- everything was just slow. Ordering, getting our food, all of it! Server was nice but we had some hiccups in delivering food to the right person (granted it was a big party). I think the service is the most important- and I think this was a let down from start to finish. Especially for the price range- I expected better service.

The vibe is nice- pretty views, elegant interior, beautiful plateware. The food was either delicious or "just ok". The brioche bun with the charred orange butter was a hit- so tasty, perfect harmony of salty and sweet! The house side salad was also very good- the charred lettuce brought another dimension to the food. However, my steak was dry and not very tender- I left over half of it. Lemon tart was...tart- but that's what it's supposed to be!

Parking is either paid street/lot parking nearby. They do not validate. Maybe give yourself an extra 10-15 minutes to park and walk over.

TLDR: Food was good for the most part, views and vibes spectacular; however, not very impressed with service.

Is something being done to rectify the rodent issue. This used to be our favorite spot but we’ve since been disgusted by droppings and I’ve noticed other comments now on open table. I don’t see much feedback from the restaurant. Is this being addressed?

The food was delicious. Especially the fried chicken sandwich. We ordered the French toast, Ada’s breakfast but got the steak instead of bacon and the chicken sandwich. Our waiter was Ryan who was professional and attentive. Ada’s is located right off the water so nice views on a nice day. Parking is a challenge but it’s difficult all around there. 100% would recommend.

Love the location and table with a view. Nicole was very attentive, professional and an amazing ‘suggestive sales person.’ Appetizer selection is impressive, entrees very hearty, with portions enough for two. Always save room for dessert 😉. Next visit will be for happy hour. Wonderful addition to our neighborhood. Thank you for a memorable dining experience.

I recently visited ADA’s on the River, and while the customer service was great, the experience overall left much to be desired. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, which I appreciated, but unfortunately, the food didn’t meet my expectations.

My dish arrived cold, which was disappointing, especially given the reputation of this restaurant. On the other hand, my husband’s food was fine, so it seemed like a hit-or-miss situation. The waiter was understanding and offered to have my meal remade, which was a nice gesture, but the wait for the new dish was far too long. I ended up canceling the order entirely because, at that point, I was over it and just ready to go.

To tide me over while I waited, the waiter brought me some potatoes, which was thoughtful, but it didn’t do much to improve the overall experience. By the time we left, I felt more frustrated than satisfied.

It’s unfortunate because I’ve heard great things about ADA’s, and the customer service was solid, but the food experience just didn’t match. I may give them another chance in the future, but for now, I left feeling disappointed.

Wont be going back. Not much on the menu...items on there are.expensive ($144) for my wife and i. We had to sit at the bar and it almost felt like we were inconvenicing the bartender. We had a menu if front of us and as i sat down, he ripped it from me. I said sorry, i guess i wasnt suppose to see that menu. He walked away. We happened to go there during restaurant week. I ordered some type of chicken that was burnt and my wife had a scallop dish. She said it wasnt good. I also had a chicken ceasar salad (they dont call it that), That had no dressing in it and they didnt have ceasar dressing. Took me 3 different conversations with different employees to get blue cheese. We went there on a weeknight. Never again.

Parking: Had to park 3 blocks away. Asked a Sgt in the police dept if he knew where this restaurant was and he said he had no idea.

Food is wonderful however service today was not. Took me five minutes to find someone to bring salt/pepper to the table. Our server went into the witness protection program and disappeared.

Great fish club sandwich and lobster Mac and cheese. Seating arrangements could be improved to ensure everyone can be seated when there are empty tables.
