Ada's has been one of my favorite restaurants for YEARS and they continue to maintain their quality of service and food. It's always a good time. I love the ambience and in the spring/summer its location is just perfect.

Great dinner, only downsize was having a larger group (8) crammed into 2 tables/bench that should have seated 6. But the food was wonderful, sides were large enough for family sharing

Definitely recommend Ada's to anyone visiting the area. My family and I were visiting from NJ and decided to try it after reading the reviews. So happy we did. We started off with 2 appetizers, seared tuna and octopus. Only thing was the octopus had a little too much seasoning for my liking but the tuna was excellent. I just wish the portion was larger. For dinner we ordered 2 fillets, a strip steak, a side of lobster mac & cheese and fries. Everything was cooked perfectly! We tried the caramel apple beignets for dessert, also very good. Service was amazing, overall a great experience.

I had a great time at Ada's! Honestly, I was a bit surprised of how good it was. I've been coming to Old Town for quite a few years btu never made it to Ada's. Not for any particular reason. Just so many great restaurants to try. This was my first time at Ada's and biy was I pleasantly surprised!!! Jeff, the GM was very welcoming and pleasant! A great spot to hang out with friends and family to enjoy great drinks and food!!! I will have to drop by here everytime I visit Old Town!

Ada's on the River delivered an outstanding brunch experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional—fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The location along the Potomac in Old Town Alexandria is hard to beat, with great views that elevate the entire meal. Service was attentive, friendly, and well-timed without feeling rushed. I especially loved the open kitchen concept—it adds energy and transparency to the dining experience. Brunch alone sold us, and we're already looking forward to coming back to try dinner. Highly recommend.

Ada's On the River is a great restaurant! Wonderful, attentive and knowledgeable staff that make the meal special. The food is delicious and creative. I tried the crab salad for the first time, and will now order it every time. It's made with Maryland blue crab and is a masterpiece. Our entrees were great and the chocolate soufflé rivals the best French restaurants anywhere. I like the upbeat atmosphere, and warmth coming from the open kitchen.

Listen, I am picky as they come. I wasn't pleased I had to wait 15 min after my reservation for a table, BUT Ada's consistently has the best food and cocktails. There was nothing I ordered that I didn't love. Will keep coming back.

Food was superb, we love the Kale & Citrus Salad. My wife loved her Chardonnay and Swordfish; the Lamb Shank was tremendous especially with the Bordeaux Blend wine. Our server Brenda was a delight. Looking forward to our next visit!

We started with mini lobster and shredded beef rolls, brussel sprouts, pimento beignet, wood fire Chicken thighs, and a cherry vanilla old fashioned with a Rosè. The food was great. The rolls were buttery with a seasoned sauce. Lemon infused moist chicken thighs and the most delectable brussels. Its was a quick in and out but our service was great. Amber quickly ushered our food over. The resturant was bright and airy with a great view. Definitely will be back for some outside sitting once it's warmer.

Once again, Ada's hit it out of the park. The black bread was delicious, as were the tuna and chicken thighs appetizers. The filets were cooked to perfection and paired nicely with the roasted carrots. A wonderful experience all around.

We went for Thanksgiving. My dad had the Thanksgiving meal, and the rest of us tried various dishes off the menu... lemmmeee tellll youuu... from the hosts, to the wait staff (Keith-thank you for taking care of us with such kindness), to the chef and his staff, we had such a humble and friendly service. We will definitely be back.
