My family and I have been frequenting Alexandria Pastry Shop since the early 90s. Throughout the years they have kept up amazing levels of quality with their pastries and cakes. They’ve been our go to for many birthdays and other special events where we’ve needed a cake. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Great value and quality.

Have been coming to this shop for years. Quality and service (i.e. behavior and, how long you wait when ordering in store) have gone way down but prices up. I write this today as I found a hair in my sandwich.
The only positive for me right now is the one guy who works there that is very kind. It seems like he’s always running around but maintains a friendly demeanor.

It was good, but not sure I need to go again when in town. Nice to try something different. I got a pistachio cake, brownie, peanut butter chocolate bar, and an apple turnover. I'm sure those aren't the official names.

Thought it was the dancing place. Not. Looks like baked foods.
[GREEN MOLD ON CAKE]
Updated Review:
I purchased the cake on 10/7 around 6 PM, close to the store’s closing time. I placed it in the refrigerator and ate a slice around 8:30 PM, where I discovered green mold on middle of the cake (see time and date of pictures taken-along with cake transaction). The next morning (10/8), after experiencing food poisoning. I immediately called the store to request that the rest of the cakes from that batch be removed from the counter, but I was told no manager was available the entire day.
Even if the store doesn’t want to take accountability for the mold, it clearly shows a lack of proper food storage or handling, since mold does not develop within just two hours of purchasing a cake.
(Original review):
I was really disappointed with my order — I found green mold on my slice of cake, and unfortunately, I ended up getting food poisoning after eating it. This was very concerning and made me question the food safety and storage practices. I hope the business takes this seriously and ensures better quality control so no one else has to go through the same experience.
I was in town for the day so we stopped in for pastries and coffee. The choices for pastry were plentiful. Staff was very friendly. Coffee and pastry were really good. Only downside was the leak in the ceiling.

Ordered a custom birthday cake (sugar free/diabetic) in advance. Joseline responded in email that it would be ready for the event. I followed up twice in email to confirm and they confirmed it would be ready. Day of the event, they didn’t have the cake and staff spent some time on the phone trying to figure out what happened, and I was further late for my event. I emailed saying my cake order was forgotten by the bakery, no response. Emailed again, they said I can come in for a free pastry instead of a free cake, after I communicated before that I can’t have sugar which I reminded again.
I’m so glad I didn’t order a bigger event’s custom cake from this bakery, like a wedding cake. Definitely would not risk ordering a wedding cake from here. Disappointed how disorganized this process and outcome was, and how there was no understanding that a promise was broken and that they should make up for it without me asking for them to.

If there was a negative star, they would be well deserving of it.
There is no service. Not referring to customer service - there is just no service. It is possible that this store is being run only by teenagers.
Mid eating they demanded I go to the counter as they did not know what I ordered. When asked why do I need to go there mid eating and why can't they just come to the table and ask, the response was that I had asked for the cheque and they don't know what I ordered; so I had to get up from mid eating, walk up to the counter and clarify for them. I forgot her highness was doing me a favor for the food that I am paying for.
They wouldn't print out the receipt as according to the years of experience of this teenager at the counter it cannot be done. How foolish of me to ask. I insisted it doesn't sound right and asked to find a way to print it since I am now at the counter (note very important detail - mid meal) and need to see it. After some fiddle around she prints it and I paid and got out. Not a second more in this store.
About the food: Very subpar. Clearly most items I ordered were prepackaged frozen and tasted worse that airline food. The only thing that had some taste was the shortbread. The food is nothing fancy.
Pair the most ordinary frozen prepackaged food with outright rude service this place deserves a negative star. You will come out unhappy and it will ruin your day. So please find a dunkin donuts nearby and you will have a better experience.

Amazing cakes! The raspberry marquis is to die for
To whom it may concern I visited the bakery today I walk in to an un pleasant moment, where the manager was screaming at her employees just because Spanish music was playing which to me seemed pretty resist and I would like HR to be involved that’s discrimination I asked the girl with the red short hair if she was okay because the manager was screaming right infront of me and the other clients that’s were there. I don’t personally think she if fit to be in a manager position I hope this is taking seriously and no one should be treated poorly.
I bought this carrot cake for 10 people. Every one of them said it was the best they've ever had!
Chocolate milkshake is great, employees are friendly
The raspberry chocolate marquis cake is so delicious and decadent. I love coming here for this cake.
