When we have events in the Washington D.C. area Avalon is our go to caterer. The food is Great, the staff pleasant to deal with and from the point of contact a very professional experience .

They did not get back to me with pricing until it was too late to do comparisons. The food was very mediocre and the waiters did not get drinks to guests in a timely manner. Coffee was never put out; left in the kitchen. Very poor experience for a very expensive service. I have complained and gotten no response.

We went to a wedding catered by Avalon - what a disaster food cold and not good quality , the presentation not professional, the appetizers disgusting (sweet potatoes not cooked thru, brochettas bread soggy) the beef was so hard it was uneatable. Overall it was the worst meal ever!
