Barnside Diner

My family and I have been going to Barnside diner for years and everything has been great until today October 20. The stupidity of the manager’s decision decided to give a table to another party when my family and I have been waiting for about 30 minutes and the other party had just recently arrived.

After so many years going there I will not return

Helen runs this diner with her sister. Its the best diner on the east coast, hands down. Food is amazing, prices are best in NoVa. Incredible.

Just ok. Staff weren’t polite or rude. Seemed to care less and didn’t really check on us at all, then the handheld checkout device only offered ‘25%’ and above tip options. 20% is the standard for good service, 25 for excellent, and 15% for poor service. Might want to recalibrate your machines or step up the service

The last time we were here put a bad taste in my mouth…we places our orders and all my husband’s food came out and all I ordered were their BASIC pancakes…none of them came out. By the time he was done eating I was like just cancel my order.

WE WILL NOT B COMING TO THIS DUMP AGAIN. Poor service and trash environment.

Sidenote: They need to renovate the entire space…it’s just a very UNCLEAN space to be preparing food.

Good food. The workers don’t smile at you, barely talk to you. My waitress didn’t check on me once. She also gave me the wrong food even though I double checked it with her when I ordered. I had already started eating before I remembered so I just went with it. I’m semi new to this area and can’t figure out for the LIFE of me why people don’t smile at their customers/clients. Very rude IMO. I’m actually not sure what I got charged for at this point. But if you’re just going for decent food and can look past the service, I do recommend!

The breakfast platters were amazing, fresh and cooked to perfection. Pancakes were great as well. No complaints at all. The service was phenomenal. Everyone was really nice. Check this diner out if you’re in the DC area

My new favorite place, the best pancakes. Breakfast is amazing. Every week I take my friends here for breakfast. Even though they are so busy, they are fast.

Called in to ask questions about the menu and hours of operations, was treated very poorly her words were "I'm not interested in answering your questions"

The food was decent compared to prior experiences here but the server was super nice checking up on us multiple times to see if everything was fine. The restaurant was very nice a clean and they cleaned up a tabled immediately for my family and I after someone finished eating.
