If you're intimidated by French cuisine, Bastille is a great place to try locally sourced, healthy variations on classic French dishes. The kitchen is ready and willing to accommodate any food restrictions. The staff are friendly and happy to advise on choices. The Prix Fixe menu is a great deal, but I have to remember to save room for the delicious desserts.
Bastille is such a consistently good dining experience that I don't know go more often! From the greeting at the front door to the very engaging server and solicitous team there, we had a very enjoyable evening. We did the prix fixe dinner — bread and butter was really flavorful, the escargots were excellent, the beef bourguignon was perfect and so much that i had to take some home, and the duck was beautifully cooked with a lovely gastrique on the side. the carrots on...
Lovely French place with great happy hour cocktails and food. I've celebrated my birthday there and they sent me one of the best creme brulee I've ever had and Happy Birthday wishes, which was very thoughtful of them. I would definitely recommend this place and visit again.
