We were so sad this restaurant was closed and there was no indication on the website. Glad we were on our way home from somewhere and didn't drive out specifically to come here.
Pricy but well worth the trip. While family found something they loved. Atmosphere was amazing, felt just like being in the movies <3
This is one of my all time favorite places to take friends out to go eat. The LOCATION and FOOD are phenomenal, the atmosphere very warm and rustic. People from the UK may feel at home.
We had a lovely gathering for my Husband Chris‘s Retirement party Saturday. Food was delicious & service was wonderful. We will visit again soon Beautiful Stained glass windows.
Honestly, the food was not great. It seems lile a great place to go if you're into trying different beers or wines, but aside from that, it wasn't the best experience. The staff was very nice and everything seemed clean, but the menu was odd and the food we got was not as pleasant as it sounded. It had me showing my fiance Gordon Ramsay pictures as reactions most of the night. Nice place, I just wish the food was better. That's really my only complaint.
Nice, comfortable and quiet setting. Food was amazing, and the service was friendly...though they could have been a bit more attentive. Overall great place and experience.
We had an excellent time. The food was fabulous. Mike the owner and bartender was attentive and welcoming. Our favorite place in Alexandria.
Amazing owners who will do all to make you feel at home. If you get Mike as the bartender, just start a conversation on absolutely any topic. I guarantee you, he will have something to say and make you feel incredibly at home.
Really enjoyed the pub feel of this restaurant in an older building with plenty of character. There are traditional offers like burgers and pizza, but also things you may not expect, like baked brie, a veggie platter and salmon. The food was first rate, the service was good, and the casual atmosphere made everything come together well. A very nice experience overall.
Service was great. Food had good portions and tasted wonderful. Prices were fair for the experience you get. Can't ask for more.

Food is very good. Had the wiener schnitzel. Excellent but too much. Service is slow. Always was here. All in all very good, not as exceptional as it used to be.
Great Lord of the Rings inspired drinks, decent food. And gives you a hobbity feel for those looking for it.
We never lived in the area but will always make a point to come here whenever we pass through. Cozy, very cool charm, with incredible food, great drinks, and friendly service. Reasonable prices. Close to main tourist area but we've been able to find close street parking every time we've come (at least the third time we've been here). It was a Friday night, very surprised it wasn't packed this time
Great food and beer list.
Neat place to eat. I thought there would be more LOTR paraphernalia but there wasn't. Was told brunch was what they're known for but it was okay. There was a slight language barrier with the waiters and chef. I won't make a special trip to eat there but if I'm in the area, I'll eat there.
