Bittersweet Catering

Full order not received - billed for missing items - even after being told invoice would be adjusted. Placed an order for my daughter’s bridal shower. Since it was on a Sunday the order had to be more than $1,000 for delivery. We made sure we met the minimum. One of the main reasons we picked them was the assorted breakfast pastry trays they list on their menu - we ordered two. Order was placed several weeks before the event; not last minute. Catering company changed the delivery time for an hour before we originally contracted for. We accommodated the change. The breakfast pastry trays were NOT delivered - told they “forgot to bake them”. We were not informed until food was delivered. We had to scramble to replace the missing items at the last minute. We never received a call or communication about the missing food - just the delivery time change. Called and was promised a credit for the trays. Just received a final invoice - trays not received are still on the final bill and credit card has been charged for them. Mistakes happen, I get that. Had we been informed of the issue as soon as they knew we would not have been left scrambling. Had the invoice been corrected as promised I would not be so disappointed & upset. Cannot recommend this company based upon our experience with them.

Bittersweet Catering is truly exceptional. I've used them multiple times for corporate events, and the level of service and attention to detail is always top-notch. I want to give a special shoutout to Andreas Weszelovszky, the General Manager and his team, who went above and beyond to accommodate a long list of persnickety food allergies, intolerances, and preferences for a recent meeting.

Everything was clearly labeled—no guesswork for attendees with dietary restrictions—and the food itself was delicious and beautifully presented.

Highly recommend Bittersweet for any event. Huge selection, excellent customer service, prompt response and the food was amazing! Exceeded our expectations. The delivery and set up was on-time, the delivery person was fast, polite and helpful. He did set up and it looked great. Small event (25) but we could not have been happier!

Everything was wonderful. For my 65th, BC served Salmon and Chicken Piccata, a wonderful salad, mushroom pinwheels and salmon mouse tarts. Delicious! Thank you Bittersweet for being a special part of the day

Where to even start? The Bittersweet Team and Jeffrey, were absolutely the best vendors to work with for a recent memorial service. They helped to guide us every step of the way and made sure we had a delicious selection of options that fit all of the dietary requirements for our guests. Bittersweet has become our go-to caterer here at The TownHomes on Capitol Hill! They are always professional, friendly, and punctual. We just had fish and chips for our bingo night, and it was delicious! The directions for reheating made things a breeze. We will continue to use Bittersweet for all our catering needs!

Bittersweet catered my anniversary party and they made everything very easy for me. They helped with all of my dietary requests and made sure the place was set up beautifully. We had a fantastic experience with Bittersweet catering while choosing them to cater our wedding! We loved that their menu was customizable for our garden party wedding. Their menu is very diverse and allowed us to choose the food that we love. Our favorites were the baked brie and buffalo chicken dip.

We loved that their menu was endless and we could taylor it to our taste and vision for our brunch themed wedding. Jeffrey Allen was amazing and literally our fairy godfather putting together and exquisite menu and making it a reality! Our guests are still raving about how good the food was as well as compliments on the rehearsal dinner that was also catered by Bittersweet.
