I had Bittersweet catering at a recent event. We had breakfast and lunch catered by Bittersweet. The food was delicious! My only critique would be for the cheeseburger sliders. There were lots of options. I especially enjoyed their desserts. I would love to check them out to see what other options they have available.

Bittersweet Catering has officially become my go-to for all catering needs. I had to place a last minute lunch order to feed approximately 40 guest. This was so last minute (the day before Thanksgiving) many restaurants I contacted weren't even open (or they chose not to answer the phone). Luckily when I contacted Bittersweet Catering Mr. Jeffery made the entire process easy. We came up with a menu that received nothing but positive reviews from all of the guest. If you're looking for high quality food and amazing customer service, do yourself a favor and check out Bittersweet Catering. You won't be disappointed! Just have to say again thank you Mr. Jeffrey for all of your help!! I'm sure I'll be ordering from Bittersweet Catering in the near future.

Bittersweet catered my anniversary party and they made everything very easy for me. They helped with all of my dietary requests and made sure the place was set up beautifully. The service at the party was excellent, the food was a hit, and our venue was very happy with the clean up. Thank you so much Bittersweet!

I ordered the strawberry shortcake dessert cups for my daughter's graduation party (June 2022) and they were beautiful, delicious, and a hit! My only challenge with Bittersweet was locating them in Alexandria, they're located within an alley so I kept driving past the location. I recommend parking in the parking garage and walking up to the building to pickup your food unless you do delivery.

We had a fantastic experience with Bittersweet catering while choosing them to cater our wedding! We loved that their menu was customizable for our garden party wedding. Their menu is very diverse and allowed us to choose the food that we love. Our favorites were the baked brie and buffalo chicken dip.

Bittersweet did an excellent job with a large party at our house. Jeffrey was very knowledgeable and helpful in advising on various options, and all the staff we interacted with were prompt and pleasant. The food was delightful--thoughtfully presented, with great flavor combinations. Highly recommend.

Where do we start?! We had a fantastic experience with Bittersweet catering while choosing them to cater our wedding. We loved that their menu was endless and we could taylor it to our taste and vision for our brunch themed wedding. Jeffrey Allen was amazing and literally our fairy godfather putting together and exquisite menu and making it a reality! Our guests are still raving about how good the food was as well as compliments on the rehearsal dinner that was also catered by Bittersweet. Outstanding service, excellent quality of food and wonderful friendly staff. We will use them to cater all of our hosting events from now on!

Wow!! They catered an affair I just attended -- and I could not be MORE impressed!! Wonderful delicious variety of food and drink, elegantly preented. The lady and the gentleman from Bittersweet (sorry -- I don't know your names) were pleasant and perfect - especially in this waning (I hope) time of Covid - masked, at the ready to help out. I never heard about Bittersweet before but now that I know, I will be more than happy to patronize their establishment

My COUSIN'S little girl was yelled at by the owner for spliing a drink on the floor. He also got really sick after eating, they recycle old food he thinks because food was very stale and thats what the doctors told him was wrong.i write this review after he did to let other know.

I had lunch here a few years back when it was a walk in cafe with my 6 year old daughter. The owner, a bald, grumpy, Romulan face from Star Trek looking muchacho with a bad attitude really laid into my little girl for spilling her soda and forced her to clean it up yelling something like;" do you know how much those floors cost !!??" she started to cry but told me later that the man's face was "weird" and scary and that's what made her cry. I wanted to kick his a** right there but did not want to set a bad example to my little girl or get arrested for assault! thankfully they went out of business at that corner spot i'm sure the reason being the owner...we'll years later I went to a party and lo and behold, catering by Bittersweet. the sandwich i ate was kind 'a stale, tasted like a Safeway sandwich...anyway next day BAM ! serious diarrhea ! it was so darn bad I had to go to an urgent care and get some antibiotic's...they said I was lucky to be alive after all that bacteria in my belly...they probably recycle the food the nurse told me. my primo wrote a google review just recently after I did because he loves my little girl so much and was very angry about it after we told him what had happened those years past. in Response to the "owner", I am having a hard time understanding , you say you are the owner , your face is the weird faced man who yelled at my girl but the name is not the same as him, his name says Jody and you are Jeffrey .A therefore this does not add up. Also it is important to let people know of such things that is why we have Yelp and Google reviews in the first place.

I visit the commissary almost everyday for either breakfast or lunch. Excellent food and great people. Get your to-go food from here!

We were really happy with a small order earlier in the year and decided we’d try thanksgiving. We got the turkey dinner and the ham dinner and several extra sides. Very disappointed. The food was excruciatingly bland, except the ham was way too salty. The “cornbread stuffing” tasted like a bread stuffing; a major disappointment and I am pretty sure a mistake in packaging. Also, when I arrived my food was on a truck for delivery. The staff was resistant to reviewing the order with me, which I expect any confident business to offer, and I actually had to ask that the items be returned to the box for transport. I really prefer to shop local and I hate to say it but I won’t be using this business again for any significant catering job. This was a $300 miss.

I found Bittersweet after a terrible experience with another caterer. Rachel responded to my request with the hour. When I spoke to her she swiftly came to understand what I wanted, even though I had trouble articulating it. We had a small reception after a memorial service and Rachel and Bittersweet served us magic. The menu was exactly what we wanted, the food was all delicious, and the service was done with great grace and subtlety. I would use Bittersweet again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I used Bittersweet Catering per a recommendation from a friend for our baby shower a few weeks ago, and I cannot say enough amazing things about the quality and presentation of our order! We received numerous compliments on how delicious the food was for our brunch at the baby shower. We ordered several different breakfast sandwiches, an amazing frittata and customized cupcakes.... Needless to say, nothing went to waste! Highly highly recommend for any type of catering event where you are looking to get not only great presentation, but great quality as well. Five stars all around!
