We got our wedding cake through Buzz Bakeshop, and we are so glad we did! The Buzz team was very communicative throughout the process and responsive to our questions. We appreciate that they let us choose complementary cupcakes with flavors of our choosing to test different wedding cake options. The cake itself was exactly as we had in mind, and it was delicious! Buzz Bakeshop provided the wedding cake for my and my husband’s reception, and we could not have been happier with it! I’ve actually been going to Buzz for years, so I knew early on I wanted them to provide the cake for my wedding. They provided us with a beautiful coconut cake with raspberry buttercream filling and vanilla frosting, and my sister-in-law, who’s a professional baker, even commented on how delicious it was! My only regret was not saving a piece to take home for me and my husband before our guests devoured it!

We've loved everything we've ever gotten from here, but I want to give huge kudos to Chef Miguel at the Slaters Ln location. He took over for Chef Kate on the order of our daughter's smash cake and did SUCH an incredible job!!! It turned out even better than I had hoped! He was very thorough and professional over the phone, and even invited me to meet him in-person to discuss my design ideas. He clearly listened to everything I said because the end result was just so perfect! I can't recommend him and the whole shop here enough. They continue to be the place we go for all of our family's special occasions and this experience reminded me of why. My sincerest thanks to Miguel and team for your expert care and craft.

I had the BEST experience with Buzz Bakeshop! I was having a book launch party and wanted a cake with the book's cover image on it. The staff was super helpful (and friendly!) over email explaining my options, and when I picked up the cake, I was stunned by how gorgeous it was! Also (perhaps most important), it was DELICIOUS and everyone at the party loved it!

I’ve always had a good experience with Buzz - friendly staff and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS baked goods. However, my recent experience takes the cake (😉). I ordered a custom cake through their online ordering service (which I’ve used many times). When I received The text that I could go pick it up, the bakery had zero record of my order and did not have a cake prepared.
They had a cake ready within three hours for me with not one percentage point less in quality. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, calm, and so helpful. This is a small business… This is community… Shop local.

Awesome gluten free bacon egg and cheese— sandwich was fresh, filling, and the gf bread was just as good as regular bread which is rare. Oat milk lattes are fantastic. Great customer service as well!

The place looks nice and cozy. The sandwiches were your typical, nothing out of the ordinary and a bit expensive. I placed an order to go of two croissant with bacon, egg and cheese. Also, another one with a different bread and same ingredients, two peanut butter cookies, a pastry, and a cortado coffee. I did not check my order before leaving. The order was missing a croissant sandwich . I walked back to get the missing sandwich. I need the steps… I told the same person that took my previous order about the missing sandwich. While he probably did not hear me correctly and I failed to check, a simple I am sorry would have made a difference. He did not… and with their prices … this is not good service. Would I visit again? Maybe… the cortado was pretty good… the sandwiches were ok… pricey…

Just what you would want in a coffee bake shop: delicious hot coffee and fresh tasty baked goods and breakfast sandwiches, friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere with additional seating outside, and a convenient location with nearby parking. Fresh water bowls outside for the pups and they sell yummy dog treats too! One of my favorite stops in the DC area.

I ordered a birthday cake online because they were the only bakery I could find with a dairy free and gluten free option. BEST CAKE EVER. It wasn’t just a good gluten free cake - it was a fabulous cake! I’ll order again when I am next in town undoubtedly. That no-dairy buttercream is amazing!
