We called to make reservations for brunch with another couple and 3 small children. They required a non-rerfundable deposit of $25 per person (!) including the children, and explained that if we did not use the entirety of the deposit, it would be forfeited....SO - we won't be going! We eat at Michelin restaurants all over the world, and just normal restaurants, of course - we live in Old Town and frequent all the restaurants here - and have NEVER heard of such an absurd policy! Please let your thoughts be known to the restaurant. We want them to succeed, ,but this policy must be changed. We are going to beautiful Josephine's instead who happily took our reservation with no absurd starnge monetary policy.

I brought my parents here to celebrate my dads 68th birthday and everything was spectacular! Our server Angel lived up to his namesake- he was an absolute angel! He provided stellar service-personable, friendly, intelligent and made great recommendations! The space itself is laid out well, we had a center table which I normally don’t like, but here it was a peaceful as a booth! Will definitely come back! Thanks Angel!

3.5 Stars- Ambience was good and our server was very nice. Food was decent however we got the crab dip, which is $21. The tortilla chips that came with it were TOSTITOS!!!! It absolutely sent me… $21 for crab dip at a nicer place is not totally irregular, but to serve it with Tostitos is absolutely crazy.

Nev and Marco were incredibly attentive, very kind, and answered all of our questions! The appetizers were hearty, the crab cake had NO filler, and their brownie and key lime pie desserts were DELICIOUS. Also, amazing cocktails!!!! This was our first time at Jula’s and we are already looking forward to coming back to the excellent service, even better food, and beautiful views!

I loved everything about this place! It is off the beaten path enough, just outside of King Street and on top of an unassuming office building, so it feels like a hidden gem. The view was fantastic with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Potomac, lovely ambiance, great brunch menu, and beautiful patio seating for when the weather is nice. The food was great - especially the breakfast burrito. Great list of cocktails and cocktails. I look forward to returning! Also note that the parking garage in the building is $5 flat rate on weekends.

This has been my third time since Julia's opened. The staff is very friendly – and the food -Great! I love being able to look out over the Potomac with the views of Alexandria and DC. I'm sure we will be going back soon!

The curb appeal is different vs a standard brick and mortar restaurant experience, but not in a bad way. The elevator I noticed could have used some TLC, but that is an easy fix. The customer service I felt as though was very good, almost a ten out of ten. With a little more training, these servers could be amazing. But still, I enjoyed the level of service. We did ask if outdoor seating was an opinion, but was told “I'm sorry, but has been committed too”. While walking to our table and throughout the brunch, 45% of the seating was never occupied. I suggest locking in your outdoor seating well in advance, because they don't seem to have the resources to full seat their entire indoor and outdoor seating. The overall look was very nice. A great place to take a date or loved one for a bite to eat. The bar also looked very inviting. But that could be because I have been dry for the last four months lol. The food in my opinion left a lot to be desired, which was very surprising based on the review's I've read. My wife had the Vegan bowl, which I think was just a poor order, yet she didn't enjoy it. Our friend and I ordered the lobster omelet. We both agreed that the omelet lacked flavor and truly didn't have great execution in the dish. We both love to cook and it was clean that someone was just checking the boxes when cooking. The bright spot was the biscuit for me, however the table has mixed reviews. I love country cooking and I will say the biscuit was above average for NOVA in my opinion. The gravy was also very good. Out table neighbors had the Bread Pudding French Toast and the Shrimp and Grits. They raved about these dishes, so I will be back to give these a go. Old Town Pro-Tip: The best lobster omelette in the neighborhood is 100% at Ada's. I leave it to Julia's to change my mind ;) Again I will 100% come back.

Always an above and beyond experience except for last visit. I specifically asked for my food to be hot and it was only warm and gets cold quicker when it's served only warm and not hot.

Service was top notch, she was helpful particularly with a choice of wine. Wine list was well suited to the menu dishes. There was flexibility with my dining partner and my menu selections. If I didn't like the salad dressing when I tasted it, no problem-it could be replaced. Even on a rainy night, the view was great. Will definitely add this restaurant to my go-to list. Can't wait to return and try other dishes. Garage parking is convenient and reasonable price at night.

The food was delicious, carefully prepared, and graceful and beautiful. Our server, Toni, was very personable and knowledgeable. He is a great asset to the restaurant. His attention to detail and his welcoming attitude were evident throughout our stay.

When dined at the restaurant on a Sunday for brunch. Great selection and food was fabulous. BUT, if you are interested in having a conversation or hearing your fellow diners; this is not your place! The noise level is VERY LOUD!
