I went there on August 29 with friends. Tge space is small but cozy. The best breakfast fitfit I ever had in a while.
The scrambled eggs was not impressive. I was expecting authentic rich Eritrean scrambled eggs with onions, tomatoes and peppers. But the overall atmosphere was excellent, service , etiquette to the point.

Today was my first time at Café Aurora, and man, it hit different. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and comforting — a place full of warmth and authenticity.
The food was beyond amazing, not just in taste but in the memories it unlocked. The moment I took my first bite, it was as if I had been transported back to my childhood. This was the kind of food my mom used to cook for me before I was adopted, and I haven’t tasted anything like it in years. It wasn’t just a meal — it was a wave of nostalgia, a plate filled with love, tradition, and comfort.
I felt just like the food critic in Ratatouille when he takes that one bite and is instantly carried back to a cherished moment in his past. That’s exactly how it felt — powerful, emotional, and nostalgic.
I can’t lie eating here felt like coming home after being away for too long. It showed me just how out of touch I’ve been with my culture, and how comforting it is to rediscover it through food. I guess it’s true food does carry the soul of a culture.

Our group of three had a delicious brunch here! My friend ordered the French toast; it was perfect and delicious. My husband ordered Eritrean tea with clove, specially seasoned pasta (Eritrean spices) and a bean dish, and he loved it. My dish included perfectly prepared eggs, a side of black beans with onions, and a side of fresh avocado; it was all delicious. My cappuccino with cocoa powder was good. The service was excellent, too. We loved it! Highly recommended!

My friends and I went for Sunday brunch. Their food was a great way to start the day! We got the Fu'ul (came with bread rolls) as well as the Breakfast Combo and their 'Kemem Tea'. We were very satisfied. The food is tasty and has a homemade feel to it; it fills you up but doesn't make you feel heavy or bloated. The servers were also really friendly!!

I’ve been coming to Aurora Cafe for years, and the food has never disappointed! It’s consistently delicious, and the service is always warm and welcoming. My absolute favorite is the tuna selsi—so flavorful and perfectly made every time. Hands down the best breakfast place around. Great job, guys! Keep it up! Next time I’ll take good pics👍

When you get your receipt pay attention because they add 20% gratuity without customer permission. In addition to that, they live open space for extra tip to confuse the costumer.
A truly memorable meal with exceptional hospitality! It was my first time trying Eritrean food and I'm so glad I did! The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, offering great suggestions. We ended up ordering four dishes: Qulwa Beef, Shiro B Tzahli, Fu’ul, Egg Silsi plus the Kemem Shahi (black tea). I would order every dish again!
visiting from out of town and came here for lunch by recommendation. we were seated immediately and the ladies were so sweet! they offered suggestions for us to order - we got four dishes, qulwa beef, shiro b tzahli, fu’ul and egg silsi. absolutely loved the flavor combinations - my favorites were the beef and the shiro b tzahli. the kemem shahi (black tea) was also a favorite of ours.
Best GaA’At breakfast with injira I’ve ever had. The chai tea is tasty (ask for extra strong if that’s how you like it). Also the flax seed shake is unique and very delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.
Food and service is great.
Can’t go wrong with the breakfast balance
