China One is underrated overall. This place has the ambience of a cheap place where college students might pick-up meals in a provincial Chinese city, blended with the garden variety American Chinese carryout place. In other words, it has an authentic grunginess. For what it purports to be, the food is unusually good, even undersold by the menu descriptions. It is apparent that the people cooking here know what they are doing. China One stands out among the Chinese carryout...
This was a great place to have dinner tonight. My pork fried rice was the best I’ve ever had in my whole life. Even though I’m close to the bottom of the carton, there are still big pieces of meat and vegetable in my fried rice. Do not hesitate to enjoy a meal here.
They are totally missing the concept. They give you no mumbo sauce on your chicken when you order it. The chicken and rice comes plain. Who eats plain? I ordered online and put in special instructions : mumbo sauce on wings and rice. I got nothing. Go to DC if want real chicken and rice. I guess they want you to pay for it. It's not worth it. Keep your money! I spent 12.00 on PLAIN chicken AND FRIED RICE...MAD!
