This place hasn't disappointed once in 20 years! If you're in to it, sit in the bar area, very nice, professional bartenders.

If I lived here I’d be at Clyde’s every week and I’d ask for Marquis and Marley. Great service. Great food. Great atmosphere. Next time you’ll find me at the bar.

My husband brought me here for happy hour oysters! He did not disappoint and neither did Clyde's. We loved it so much that we came to happy hour the following week! Must try oysters: Jacks point - briny Pemaquid - briny but sweet at same time Standish shore - briny Thatch island - briny bitter First week we went we mistakenly did not sit at the bar so we weren't able to get the wine happy hour or other specials. This was annoying because the hostess did ask if we were coming for happy hour and we disclosed that we were planning to do happy hour. There are signs everywhere advertising for happy hour and of course in super small print, it states must be seated at the bar to avail those prices. Such a shame because we would have ordered more. We each got 2 glasses of wine each- myself white (Sauvignon blanc) and my husband red (Cabernet Sauvignon), bread basket, bowl of New England clam chowder, and 2 rounds of dozen oysters. When we got the bill, we realized our mistake.. The following week, we sat at the bar and the bartender was lovely! She put our orders in as soon as we sat down and informed that not all wines are on the happy hour menu but specific white: gruner veltliner and red: Malbec and our friend ordered beer. We also ordered buffalo wings with blue cheese and ranch, side of fries, and calamari. We finished everything- tasted so good! Their sauces are on point. We will definitely be returning to this spot!

A fabulous atmosphere! Each room intimate and different. We sat in a booth near large windows overlooking the street for lunch. Our server was fantastic as was the food. The Faroe Island Salmon Salad was perfection on a plate. If i lived in the DC area, this place would be on my regular rotation.

The food was very good. The service was very sub par. No kids menus for family's grandchildren even after asking twice. No refills of our beverages. Gave us our dinner, then we needed some things like ketchup ect. She didn't come back for 20mins .Just bad service over-all

Amazing dinner for my son's birthday! I have been to Clyde's many times over the years at Mark Center but surprisingly this was the best meal yet. Oysters were the best I have had in the last year - and would go back just for them. Many of us had the filet which was incredible and the new split chicken option was fantastic! Well done from an old favorite.

After finishing some medical stuff in Alexandria, I realized Clyde's was still open and just across the street. For years, I worked not so far away and I visited them after work happy hour many times. I decided to treat myself to a meal because the place was calling my name...the menu almost as I remembered it. That's one of the things I liked was the consistency in food selection and quality. I recall they had an awesome French onion soup with the cheese drizzling all over the bowl it was served in. Sadly, that's been removed from the menu. I decided to try a different starter, deviled eggs with jalapeño. I was curious about that combination but it was actually very good because the jalapeños were fried and that changed the taste from fresh slices. Before, I always went for the crab cakes. They had no filler basically and it was a good value item. However, this time I decided to continue with new item selections. I ordered salmon...maybe sounds boring but the preparation was fantastic. In fact, it was so good I went for the apple crumble, as it was low fat. Haha! Not! It was really good, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste. Therefore, I finished the ice cream it was topped with rather than setting it aside. Ice cream and I have a bitter sweet relationship. Fortunately, my body was equally excited to revisit Clyde's and I did just fine. Clyde's is now back on my list. Ir was just as good as I remembered. The service was too. My server was also working the bar. I sat just outside it in a booth but she took excellent care of me while performing her other duties. Clyde's def gets my vote as a place worth going. Next time, I'm gonna go for cocktails too and see how those compare to what I remember...
