I like the unique way Duck Serves their donuts, fresh and hot. But we also ordered some shakes and some coffees and the shakes took an inordinate amount of time to receive.

Blown by these donuts. They are very basic made to order. They just sprinkled cinnamon sugar on top of the breaded donut. It tasted mostly like a plain donut.

Looking through the reviews it seems to be the standard for this location that an order placed 40min in advance after 9am still has to wait 20min for the team to assemble it. Crazy, wait is not worth the cost of these donuts, there are better spots in DC.

I do not recommend this location. While the donuts are delicious, they are not worth waiting 20 minutes while the store is empty. My issue is that the team of two only filled 1/3 my order, then seemed surprised when I requested the rest. They informed me they did not realize I had more to my order (I ordered through the kiosk). I understood, and offered to call it fine with a refund for the undelivered items. They said only the manager could do that (and, apparently, the manager was not there). So, I waited longer while the completed my order. The breakfast sandwich I eventually received was hot and tasty. The coffee was unremarkable and I would not order it again. Finally, after sitting in the near empty store for @ 30 minutes, I observed the location is run-down and would benefit greatly from a refresh. I also tipped 20% while placing the order, anticipating great service. That was an unrealistic expectation.

The donuts are great! The customer service not so much. I thanked the cashier multiple times and she replied begrudgingly. I also thanked the donut decorator and her response was similar. They were both low energy. Idk maybe I caught them on a bad day. I will try a different location to see if their service is better.
