I've been here several times, it's a go to whenever we have family or friends visiting, as most of them have never had ethiopian food before. It's a great option for people with dietary restrictions (gluten, dairy, meat). We always get the veggie combo and then add 2 meat or fish dishes. There's plenty for 4 people.
On Monday, my granddaughter and me went to the restaurant for the first time. The food was terrible. In my years eating the vegetable platter, it was disgusting. My granddaughter order Doro Wot, the chicken seems to be cooked the day before. I paid almost 48 dollars for food we weren’t able to eat, because the Doro Wot was served in a small portion and charged separately. I won’t come to eat at Enat ever in my life.
So far the best kitfo and legs tibs in DMV. Great customer service and great food!
Tried a new place tonight. Love Ethiopian food and this place did not disappoint. I saw that it got pretty good reviews, so it was worth the drive from my place in Fairfax. Had a short chat with the owner who is very personable. Love the boom box hanging next to his bar, he just put up a few cassette tapes from his hometown.
one of the best in the DMV for sure!
Today at work, we decided to try something new and ordered Ethiopian food. For some of our coworkers, it was their first time experiencing Ethiopian cuisine, so we went with a variety—beef, lamb, and chickpeas for a vegetarian option. We didn’t order too much at first, thinking not everyone would be into it, but once the food arrived, it turned out to be absolutely delicious—and not nearly enough for all of us!
We’ll definitely be ordering from this place again. Brhan was incredibly friendly and accommodating, offering helpful suggestions on what to order. His above-and-beyond service was truly appreciated.
They used to be great, but now they're down!! It's sad that they have become a group of rude people who don't even apologize for their mistakes, even if they sent spoiled food.
I revisited this place recently and was again very impressed with the service. The food was excellent, although there was a slight issue with one of the dishes. The manager quickly took action and replaced the food without any charge. It was such an excellent display of great service. Keep up the good work!

I believe they use frozen meat for their Tibs it Has a bad taste.

My go to Ethiopian spot. I bring friends here and really enjoy the food. This time I went it felt like they skimp on the meat and flavor (lamb tibs) and changed/subbed different veggies on the platter or duplicated (we ordered an entree of collards). I recommend getting the tea. I usually get the same thing each time. I am hoping this was just a mishap visit and everything will be back to normal like how I remembered the past years I’ve been coming.

I got takeout, and the box was the tiniest I've ever seen. For the amount I paid, it wasn't worth it. On top of that, the food was terrible. I ordered "Derek Tibes," which was a joke, and the side salad felt like eating a wet towel. Can’t believe I waited half an hour. Wouldn’t recommend at all .

I eat their vegetable combination, but not really what I was expecting. Especially some veggie sauces taste not fresh.

The atmosphere was very welcoming as well as the hostess, Sani.
The food was very good, especially the Misser Wat (split lentils in spicy sauce), Doro Wat (chicken in a special sauce which is a bit spicy), and the ASSA goulash (fish tips in sauce). Do make sure to tell them if you want it a bit more spicy for a more authentic flavor.
Vegetarian options: The lentils must be eaten especially the Misser Wat!
Kid-friendliness: Kid-friendly meal options are available Ethiopian food!

It was great. Authentic ethiopian experience. Waiter was very nice and professional (and very cute too I might add).

The asa goulash was prepared exactly as asked. The injera is pillow-y soft, and fermented just right.
However, entree for to-go does not come with sides. Must order separate.
