This was the first time my family and I tried Famous Dave's reservation was made for 1pm Sunday. We were seated at our table and sat for almost 15 minutes with no one to check on us we were told the waiter that had our area was backed up. So they had the bartender take our order and make sure we were taken care of for the rest of our stay. In the end the good was great, but the wait time was a lot for our first visit.

It had been years since I last visited Famous Dave’s—pre-COVID, in fact—and wow, I’ve clearly been missing out! I ordered the rib tips, and let me just say… they were phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned, smoky, and tender—the kind of BBQ that makes you close your eyes and savor every bite. Which I did!
We loved it so much we even catered from Famous Dave’s for our 4th of July gathering while visiting family in Maryland, and it was a total hit! Everyone kept asking where the food came from.
If you’re craving good, flavorful BBQ and have a Famous Dave’s nearby, don’t walk—run. The rib tips alone are worth it. Pro tip: make your own favorite sides if you’re picky like me, but the BBQ? Absolutely unbeatable. Oh and order to go so you can really DIG IN!

Ehhh. Was very excited to try this but it was quite the let down. You think “Dave’s bbq” and think great, I’m gonna get some good protein … no. It’s a little bit of protein then carbs, carbs, carbs, with a side of carbs. I got burnt ends and they were ehhh, ok I suppose, I like anything that has barbecue sauce on it so I’m not hard to please but my wife said it taste like dog food. The fries are MID. The Mac n cheese is strangely spicy as hell, also MID. And the best thing in the plate was the cornbread. For $26, I’m never going back here ever again.
Great atmosphere and food. Very quick service, though our waiter disappeared when we were ready to pay. Had to track him down to pay the bill. No complaints other than the food being a bit pricey for what you get. I recommend.

Was so happy to find another Famous Dave's as the Smithtown NY location closed. Awesome brisket, corn bread, pulled pork or anything on the menu! Highly recommended.

Gave this place a second chance. July 3rd afternoon. After explaining yo the MOD, we had a $25 credit. He told us the system shows it as used that very day. Umm. No, we just walked in. He said he would take care of it, it was their system. We reported the poor service our first time there and was given $25 card. We were seated in a booth and there were no other customers in our area. None. It was really quiet.
The food was fine. But once again, the service was nil. Asked for butter, took several minutes to get, our drinks were left unfilled, and no one checked on us until we were just about finished with our meal. I do not need attention the whole time I am in a restaurant, I just need my drink cup at least half filled (I can choke easily) and condiments at the beginning of my meal not half way thru.

The service was awesome. The place was very busy but management still found time to visit out table. Food was great as always. This restaurant is well run and delivers great, quality food. For a nice night out that won't break the bank, I highly recommend this Famous Dave's on Richmond Highway!
