I don't give a 5 star rating often, but the food, ambiance, and service here is perfect. I eat Thai food a lot and usually, the curry doesn't have a lot of chicken. Not here, the curry here has a nice balance of spiciness and has a lot of chicken. The mango in the sticky rice tasted like it was picked from the garden of Eden. This is my new favorite spot. The ambiance in this place is nice and elegant and there is also a bar where you can watch sports. The food here is also very affordable. I don't have photos of the curry and spring rolls because I ate them too fast. HIGHLY recommend this place.

I ordered from Galae Thai because of the great reviews. Perhaps they were super busy tonight, or the portions they send out via delivery are smaller, but my order was quite small, and really not worth the price. It was about half of what I would have expected. My curry was super watery, only had a few potatoes and some tofu cubes in it. It was disappointing. I am glad I ordered extra rice because that is what I had with the broth! Not happy with my order because of that-- but I was super hungry having also waited for a long time, so I really didn't want to call to complain. Sorry guys, I will not order from here again.

Food is solid but I gotta knock one star off for the price. It's a bit rich for my taste. But, it is very tasty.

Tom yum soup perfectly spicy and delicate. Green curry was spectacular. Eggplant was beautifully prepared, both texture and flavor! Standard (medium) was not especially spicy, but just left room for the rest of the flavors to shine. I only mention it, if you like spicy, you might want to ask for it. Hands down my new favorite Thai place.

Very good food, excellent service, pleasant ambiance. Overall, a nice setting for an enjoyable meal with my son and his bride. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. You will too. Trust me.

Was denied seating at 9 pm on a weekday. They said they close at 9:30 pm. Did a take-out. Food was just okay.

Not impressed, and quite honestly disappointed. Ok. So there’s free parking but that’s probably the highlight. We were greeted pleasantly and seated but after that I feel service went dry. I will say the ambience is very nice but the food did not cut it, and for the price I expected much better. My wife’s $19 curry was more of a soup (and a small one at that) with essentially no meat. We counted 2 tiny pieces of red bell pepper for vegetables. She was extremely disappointed. My recommended galae noodles were nothing to boast about. For appetizers we got the garden herb rolls, which were just vegetables rolled in rice wraps. To be fair, that’s what showed on the menu so I can’t complain.

I always order it from here when I'm working at the national harbor. The takeout is usually very good but it definitely can't beat eating it in the restaurant. Portions are super reasonable for the price given the area and there's a lot of choices. It's a little bit more upscale with fancy matching plates etc., and the decor is very nice. They have a lot of plants which I really liked. They have a bar area and serve alcohol as well. There's a tiny little parking lot that's reserved for customers in that area so it shouldn't be too difficult to find parking since there's also street parking in a parking garage.Vegetarian options: Clearly labeled and with most other Thai places you can get completely vegetarian easily.

Absolutely love this place! Staff are very nice. Love their menu. They serve great food:)Vegetarian options: They have decent vegetarian options. Specify if you don’t want egg in your food. Tofu fried rice, stirred vegetables fried rice, tofu noodles are our go to food here!

Me and a girlfriend came before the movies for a quick bite. We didn't want to get stuffed because movie popcorn is a requirement. I LOVE their big mugs for their tea. Wish I had these at home. We started with some gyoza and we both had soup. The Tom Yum was so yummy! And it was perfect for the cold rainy day we were having. Service was great! Very attentive and patient with us. We'll definitely be back to have an actual meal. Everything looked delicious!

Galae Thai is a hidden gem! The food is delicious and the service is always friendly and fast. My favorite is the Panang Curry with seafood. The Thai iced tea is fantastic.

Ambiance was nice. Decent lightening and great culture statues. Service was also good. Food portion size was fair, taste factor was also fair. I was really bummed to find out they do not offer sticky rice. Instead the only thing that they do offer that's of sticky rice is their dessert mango version. On that I didn't find this spot to be very authentic for a true Thai experience.
