My favorite place in the eisenhower area of Alexandria. Wonderful service and food. Great selection of asian beers and lovely cocktails. The fried tofu and kra pow bao appetizers are awesome. The thai iced tea is a great option for n/a. I have tried the red curry ramen (both non and veg and both are fantastic), the kaarage ramen, and gin ramen are wonderful too. The flavors are just right and all the dishes I have tried are not too heavy (well balanced.) The service whether its at the table or the bar is exceptional. The music (asian covers of popular songs) and ambiance are great as well. Highly recommend!

Nestled in the heart of the bustling city, Gin Ramen is a haven for ramen aficionados seeking an authentic taste of Japan's beloved comfort food. From the moment you step inside, the aroma of simmering broth and freshly cooked noodles tantalizes the senses, setting the stage for a culinary adventure.First and foremost, let's talk about the star of the show: the ramen itself. Each bowl is a work of art, meticulously crafted with precision and care. The noodles, perfectly springy and chewy, are a delight to slurp up with each spoonful. The broth, whether it's a rich tonkotsu or a savory miso, is bursting with flavor and depth, a testament to the chef's dedication to authenticity. But it's not just about the noodles and broth at Gin Ramen. The toppings elevate each bowl to new heights, with options ranging from tender slices of chashu pork to perfectly soft-boiled eggs that release a creamy yolk with every bite. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the dish, from the beautifully arranged garnishes to the careful balance of flavors.Beyond the ramen, the menu at Gin Ramen offers a variety of tantalizing appetizers and sides to complement your meal. From crispy gyoza to refreshing seaweed salad, there's something to satisfy every palate. And let's not forget about the drinks – whether you're in the mood for a traditional Japanese sake or a refreshing glass of iced tea, the beverage selection is sure to impress. The ambiance at Gin ramen is cozy yet vibrant, with warm lighting and sleek decor that invites diners to linger and savor each bite. The staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to offer recommendations or answer any questions you may have about the menu.In conclusion, Gin Ramen is more than just a place to grab a quick meal – it's an experience. Whether you're a seasoned ramen connoisseur or a newcomer eager to explore Japanese cuisine, a visit to Gin Ramen is sure to leave you craving more.

Had a friend visit from out of town and wanted to take them to a locally owned ramen place. Not having been to Gin Ramen, I wasn't sure what to expect. Upon entering, you're met with a beautifully curated space that is a blend of modern, Asian, and very chic -- we especially loved the nearly matte green seating! We started with gyoza, which had a lighter dough than we were used to, but an excellent flavor profile. As an entree, we all went with tonkatsu ramen -- that had the best ramen egg we'd ever had! Despite it being a very generous helping of food, we couldn't help ourselves and had to try the green tea & croissant bread pudding desserts! The green tea was great, but that croissant bread pudding was life changing.I highly recommend checking out Gin Ramen!

I’ve been trying really hard to find a great bowl of ramen in the DMV. And this one was very flavorful. And the broth and ingrediants were fresh. I had the spicy ramen which was delicious with the perfect spice level.I also had the beef bun!! Soo good!! I wish they did a set of 3 buns. This was a true prize and treat. I hope they add a short rib ramen.

The restaurant is warm and cozy but still maintains a really cool atmosphere. I love the lighting and design of the place. Service was fast and friendly, always checking in when drinks got low and had great timing. The food was delicious — I had the pork bun and the karaagi donburi. Both flavorful and worth trying. The drinks were also excellent. I had the Polar Bear special (pictured), warm sake and a flight of premium sake. Definitely recommend this place for smaller groups and dates!

Guess who gained a new ramen spot?! That’s right, Alexandria did! Thanks to a Visit Alexandria newsletter I saw that Gin Ramen & Asian Tapas was amongst some of the newer restaurants that recently opened in the area. So, why not stop by & give it a try? This might be a bit of TMI but I almost slurped the bowl.Note: the Shrimp Tempura Ramen ($18) is on the special menu so I couldn’t tell you exactly how long it’ll be available.
