Menu Includes: Fried Fish (Whiting, Catfish, Croaker, Spot), Pork Chops, BBQ Chicken, Meatloaf, Wings, Veggie Chili, A Kale Quinoa Bowl, Turkey Wings, Chicken Livers, Baked Ham, Salmon Cakes, BBQ Spare Ribs, Salad, Collards, Cabbage, Mac n Cheese, Beans, Yams, Cakes, & Bottled Beverages. . Items Reviewed: Their Fish n Grits*Not on their online menu*(fried catfish with butter grits, and cornbread $12.90). STAMP!! The fish was fried to perfection, and those grits were buttery, & smooth!! The Cornbread...LIKE THAT!! Moist, & fluffy goodness!! Their BBQ Chicken Sandwich (diced seasoned chicken breast with grilled, onions, red, & yellow peppers on a brioche bun $10.40). DELICIOUS!! The Grandaddy's hint of vinegar, sweet bbq sauce with the grilled veggies rounded this sandwich out. Their Ma LED's Turkey Wing Platter (gravy smothered Turkey wings with, mac n cheese, & collard greens $14.40). STAMP the wings!! Meat falling of the bone cooked, with a pourable, tasty seasoned gravy!! If this is your thing, this is your spot!! Their Mac n Cheese...LIKE THAT!! this is the best spot around! go and get a plate, then get another to go. no disappoint. been a few times now and mama d is the definition of love! but it doesn't stop there the whole kitchen staff shows team work, love and care. I can't wait to go back.. as always! ? see ya on turkey wing night!

My husband and I have been so anxious to try this restaurant! Let me just say we were NOT disappointed. The food was seasoned very well and everything was delicious. The owner and staff were so welcoming and friendly. I definitely recommend this place if you love great tasting soul food. The catfish, fried chicken with mambo sauce, cornbread and baked beans.... Wheeeew that's all im gon say. Very delicious! We can't wait to go back.

Short version, good food. This business needs to be supported. Long version, good food, good portions. This is a place not yet discovered for how good it is. The location makes it a little discreet. It's in the far corner of the shopping center, next door to a tobacco place. Easy to miss if you don't know where to look, but hard to forget once you've been there.

Been here a few times now. The meatloaf is the my favorite dish I've tried so far. Super moist and the gravy comes with it is really good. The mac and cheese and potato salad are really outstanding too. Its not a cheap lunch, but you do get a lot of food. Ordering ahead over the phone or online is recommended, as they are usually short staff and the food can take awhile to prepare. Other than that, really good southern cooking.

My sister I drove to this establishment from Baltimore to support this black owned business during black history month. I got the catfish dinner that only came with one piece and for the price you'll expect two my sister got the catfish tacos which was good. The service was good but very slow. Overall it was a HUGH LETDOWN. I wouldn't return.

The owner and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.She said its her 1 year of being there. Well me any wife had a great experience and the food was home cooked. I had the Fried catfish with mac and candid yams..it was very flavorful. My wife had the wings w/ their special sauce which was delicious.. I will definitely be coming back.. If your goin dont miss it.. If your not looking its on the corner of a cigar store!!!

I like the cat fish, collards and sweet yams. The first time mac and cheese was delicious. The second time it wasn't so good. I had to put my chicken wings in the air fryer when I got home. Cabbage not seasoned.

The Fried Fish Sandwich is insanely good, and the service by Miss D was incredible. Very friendly/welcoming vibe with good prices and even better food. Definitely will be coming back here again!

First off, this is a must eat place, if I could give it 6 stars of 5 I would. Ok, longer description. I usually enjoy traveling to the south for work to get real fried chicken, and fried okra. I am super excited to have this so close to my house. The fried okra is perfect and not slimy at all. The fried chicken is so perfectly seasoned and simple as well. They have amazing sauces to go with it, my favorite is the mambo sauce. I have tried the catfish as well, delicious and perfectly cooked. The bread pudding is absolutely delicious and fresh made as well. If you haven't figured it out by now, this is a must visit and delicious southern cooking. We haven't had anything bad and everyone there is friendly.

Finally got to try this place and my expectations were exceeded and then some! I went to PMS and wanted to come check out Mrs David's new restaurant. I'm glad I did. The catfish sandwich was massive and so delicious. Haven't tried the banana pudding yet but it looks amazing. I'll definitely be back soon. Worth the price and the wait for sure.
