Marta served us we ate at the upstairs bar service was quick. I ordered chilled beets, but they were actually to spicy for me to eat.. menu didn't say spicy. Greens were bomb, the dish wasn't filled like the beets were.. same size dish just not filled Marta asked if I wanted anything else I asked were the hush puppies sweet like corn bread .. she stated yes, but they cooked them to fast .. burned on outside, not fully cooked on inside, and they were not sweet on the inside. My aunt ordered mussels and ABSOLUTELY love them. Will definitely go back for the collard greens when I visit again. The bathroom was unisex and very clean. Upstairs set up nice .. but dont sit on either corner of bar fans are on high and will blow on you and your food. Oh, instead of the normal peanuts at the bar, they serve gold fish I thought that was cute until I saw the glass bowl being dipped. I would rather them have a scooper and give one bowl to each person, not have 2 people share a little bowl .. I mean, it is meant to make you thirsty to order more drinks, hahahaha...

Tried the crab cakes.... More filler than most spots. Oysters weren't bad.

Our party of 4 didn't have any complaints. Tried all the kinds of oysters on the half shelf that were offered that evening ( all from Virginia, except for a Pacific Northwest offering). All were fresh and tasty. Soft shelf crab was delish. Crab cake dinner was pretty good. Fish and chips were also delish. Servers were fantastic- personable and very helpful.

Delicious!

I love the devil eggs and the clam chowder. Enjoy the view from the rooftop bar!

Our usual meeting place closed,... Hanks is basically down the street from the old venue. The service is prompt and attentive. The people are kind and accommodating. The food is excellent. We will return.

Came for brunch and sat on the roof top during a nice spring day. Service was prompt and friendly and our order came out quickly despite being busy. The Lobster Benedict was a solid option but I don't think I would get it again after seeing some of the other dishes that came out of the kitchen, but that is not to say it was not well prepared and worth getting. Our order of Calamari and Popcorn Shrimp was crispy with great flavor. We had a reservation, made the same day, and based on how there was not a spare table on the roof top you will likely need one if you want to sit up there on a nice day. Nice spot in North Old Town worth a look.

Had a great waiter. Ambiance was excellent if a bit loud. The oysters were well selected and the burger I got was tremendous. Parking was a bit hard to find.

The Sea Bass was a total suprise. More often than not I am dissapointed when I order fish. Not the case here. The presentation was superb. The blend of flavors, textures and colors was an epicurean delight. Our waiter/bartender Damany was thoughtful, always on point without being intrusive. The whole experience was one worth repeating.

Usually love this place, but we went on Sunday for oysters and my entire family got food poisoning.

This is my second time trying raw oysters, and the experience is amazing. I had one each of the oysters from the menu, and my favorite was the cannon cave. I'm super thankful for the bartender. She explained to me the difference in the brine of each oyster.
The clams are fresh and tender, though I find them fisher than the oysters. That just doesn't suit my taste.
For drink, I had “say jalapeño to my little friend”. I love it. It's perfectly spicy and smokey. The tajin on the rim and the jalapeño slices are a cherry on top.
