Great local Ethiopian restaurant with great service. I highly recommend the Queen Combo if you have two people. You get to try a little of multiple dishes! Oh, and it’s BYOB.

Wow!!, what a hidden gem In Old Town. Cheers to Mosa and his staff. I have not had Ethiopian food in quite some time. His restaurant is understated, making it extra special. I noted reservation signs on some of the tables. I can see why. I was greeted with a warm smile by Mosa and his waiter. I had to have a few of everything and I can say the food hit the spot. The ginger tea and veggie mix sambusa are out of this world (make sure to ask for some of his jalapeño chutney). I’ll be sure to return and try one of everything else on Hawwi’s menu.

If I could give it a 3.8 or 3.9 I would. I was reluctant to review because I’ve been several times in the past and enjoyed. It’s the only Ethiopian option in the area. I suggest perhaps going on a weekend when they are probably busier and the food is more fresh. I visited on a weeknight when they were not busy and ordered a combo with two meats and two veg. The egg in the chicken was cold. Unfortunately so was the yellow lentils, and the greens were room temp (both also almost flavour less unfortunately). I might go back and try again in the future because the staff were very nice and I love Ethiopian food.

It's ok. Low quantity of food. No refills on sodas. Food not spicy like a true Ethiopian food
Food and service was excellent. We haven't had Ethiopian cuisine in years, getting food in northern Virginia was recommended. We weren't disappointed in the least. Very generous portions as well.

Excellent food and service. It’s also halal.
We go the queen combo but the stews weren’t enough for me and husband so we ended up ordering more beef stew.

This is the closest Ethiopian restaurant to me in Temple Hills, MD. I love this place, food is amazing. I've introduced so many people to this cuisine with the food from this shop and they have all fallen in love with it.

Wow!! Excellent service with stunningly delicious food. This was our first time here and the owner gave us his suggestions which were perfect. Our party of four had food that met everyone's dietary needs. It was freshly made, seasoned well, and fun to eat. Highly recommend!

Great food. My wife and I split the combo number 2, which was plenty for both of us. The owner was friendly and helpful. Prices were low for the amount of food.
