Had an amazing experience. Never heard of the restaurant prior to going to a dinner party. Went and loved it. The service and food was amazing! Everything is delicious with great portions. Our waitress Jennifer was amazing, she was very attentive and friendly. We went twice in one day!!!! Great mock-tail /non alcoholic options as well

While looking at the menu outside, Jennifer struck up a conversation and invited us to dine inside. I had the seafood burger and Pretty as a Peach cocktail, both were outstanding. However, Jennifer (who was our waitress) was absolutely what made our experience amazing! I would highly recommend Hen Quarter and definitely ask for Jennifer as your waitress!
We had reservations Easter Sunday for 1:15 PM and left after waiting 45 minutes.

Our waitress Jennifer was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and prompt. Our meal was served quickly and every detail was surprisingly delicious. The chicken was fried just right, the comeback sauce was just right, the green beans were sweet and hot and the seasoning on everything was perfect.10/10 recommend. My kids were able to find something they liked on the menu and we did not have to wait to be seated or for our meal. The open kitchen, big windows, wrought iron and metal ceiling all provided a lovely dining experience. I never mind waiting for good food but kids can get antsy and mine did not have a chance. They cleaned their plates. Thanks for a great experience!

The food was delicious, favorable and just good quality food! This restaurant gets 5 stars from me! Will definitely visit when I come back into town.

While the food was good except one overcooked dish ( rubbery eggs Benedict ) , everything , even water , is slow walked . A brunch rip off . The fried chicken and waffles , and other brunch specialties are not included in the brunch price point unless you pay for those items .To start with , four of us were seated but there were plates and utensils for three people . Okay , no big deal . But then we watched as servers passed us by for nearly thirty minutes with no acknowledgement . Not even water was offered . Then finally , my husband was able to flag someone down , who seemed shocked to see us . She took our order and left . We sat there for another twenty minutes or so . Still no water . She then brought our drinks . No refills offered . The food finally arrived after over an hour lwait . We ordered more , but that was a huge mistake because it took another 30 minutes , but we paid for a brunch that was supposedly all you can eat . So why not order more and hope for the best .Nope .It was really more like all you can wait .Everything was slow walked .Also , Hen and Quarter’s website advertised dessert as included , but there was no dessert. The website wording is deceptive , and it makes it seem as if desserts , salads and sides are included with the main dishes . They are not .You are only allowed three choices each for an appetizer and a main dish . To be fair , that was clear on the website , but I thought more sides and a dessert would be available , based on my understanding of the website’s brunch description .If you would like seconds , it has to be the same dish . Really stupid concept .Go somewhere else . Alexandria is full of great restaurants that do not cheat you out of your time and your money . When you have to ask three times for a plate , you know it’s bad . Happy Easter .
