You may have overlooked this Peruvian food gem located next to an Alexandria super market like I have for so long. Yeah, you may be the only gringo in the place enjoying this superb Peruvian food and atmosphere. No worries! People are so busy enjoying the family-type meal prepared just for them that they won’t notice you. Charcoal grilled chicken, Aji de Gallina, stuffed potatoes, fried yuca (mandío shyryru), and more.
Try this place. You may think you’ve been transported to another country.

Beware they are very cheap with their sauces
We order three dishes and they gave us one green sauce second time they do this will never order again Peruvian sauces are what make a great Peruvian meal
Ají de gallina was sooooo good and highly recommend the alfajores. I also enjoyed their freshly made passion fruit juice. Excellent server and great manager-went yesterday and will definitely be back if able.
The food is too expensive
Older woman seated me and was polite. I ended up getting the steak (well done) and it was delicious. Good service and great food.
Very bad and disappointing, the jelly was burnt ? the chicken was very burnt, very dry or tasteless, it doesn't come back to that restaurant anymore ?????
Bad customer service!!
Terrible food, the chicha morada was terrible, it seemed like overkill, the dish they gave me was more bones and the rice was with chicken, the rice was bad and had a bad taste.
It is not a good restaurant.

Huascaran is a gem for those craving home-cooked Peruvian cuisine. Their dishes are packed with flavor and remind me of comfort food I grew up with. The portions are generous, and the quality of ingredients is top-notch.
Unfortunately, the service can be a bit hit or miss. While some staff members are attentive and friendly, others seem to disappear after delivering your food. It can be frustrating to wait for refills or additional requests when the staff is seemingly MIA.
Despite this minor drawback, Huascaran's delicious food makes it a worthwhile destination. If you're willing to overlook the occasional service hiccup, you'll be rewarded with a satisfying and authentic Peruvian dining experience.
La comida en Huascaran es deliciosa y casera, pero el servicio puede ser inconstante. Si estás dispuesto a pasar por alto esto, ¡no te lo pierdas!

We ordered chicken plantains and yuca for a corporate event of 30+ people. The food was good, fresh, and delicious. I would recommend.

Because I didn't know the area and ordered quickly to take away, I didn't pay attention to the menu or the prices, I ordered Leche de Tigre and it doesn't appear on the menu so I imagine they gave me the mixed Ceviche, no problem but the bowl is rude to what We paid, the size of gelatin and more onion than anything, only 2 shrimp.
There is a lot of movement and disorder in the area, I think they could improve on that and put the product records where they belong and not in the front.
Ample parking shared with other businesses.
Order to go but they add the tip themselves ??
