My husband and I came here to have a day date at lunch time. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the food is amazing and the service couldn’t get any better, the staff were all so attentive and made us feel very looked after. We were both so impressed and will definitely return and would 100% recommend this restaurant, thank you so much!!

As always. the food and drink were excellent. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. We have been many times and will continue to dine here.

The staff hit on every point. It was a dream night and I'm incredibly thankful they made us feel special. One main waitress supported by 4-5 bartenders, managers, runners who took a moment to chat with us to make sure everything was up to standard. Even surprised us with a sparkling show for dessert. Every time we have a celebration, we will be back.

This was our second year coming to Josephine for our post-Scottish parade family brunch, and it definitely will not be the last. The food is always superb, the service friendly and prompt, and the ambiance festive. We absolutely loved the live performance by the Kiltie Band of York, and everyone left happy and full. My husband and I will be back before the year's end, we just love Josephine at Christmas time. Thank you for another spectacular family memory!

Always a great time at Josephine's. I'm grateful for all the glutten free options. Never have had an issue.

This place is GORGEOUS. Great for a celebration with a wonderful classic French menu. Service was quite heavy handed, inconsistent but friendly. We were constantly asked how we were doing to a point of annoyance, like not sure if they were rushing us out. But had to ask for our champagne and then we had to flag someone down to get the bill. Great burger, and truly a stunning place.

Service and food were great. Celebrating a birthday with a friend and catching up . We weren't rushed and had an amazing time.

The staff was extremely polite and caring and when they made a mistake on our order they apologize and went above and beyond to correct it. Lovely experience, will come back.

I picked this restaurant for my dad's birthday while I was back home. I decided to pick a French place as it was the type of restaurant where my parents had their first date, and it is coming up on the anniversary of her passing/their anniversary. The ambience inside was great, and the food was reasonably priced for what you got. However, we were put under the stairs in a cramped area, which was not the best, but more private. The servers came by the table with good frequency but lacked solid knowledge of the menu. They did not know the set (sauce/other ingredients not listed on the menu) of the night's special (duck à l'orange). The more frustrating part was that I ordered the fruit lambic beer, the most expensive beer on the menu. I had fond memories of first discovering a lambic at a brasserie on K Street. I was delivered what I thought was the exact same beer as my previous order. When I pointed that out to my server, she assured me that was what I ordered. After tasting again, I was certain it was the saison I had initially ordered. After some back and forth, she returned to show me the bottle, open, and poured me a new beer, which was indeed a different color and taste. I got to keep the previous beer as a bonus beer, I guess, to rectify the situation, which is why I didn't complain about the gnat on the rim when it was delivered. I wasn't going to leave a review until I noticed that the tip amount was charged differently than what I indicated on the receipt, not by a lot, but by the exact amount of the tip left by the other person the bill was split with. Great food, not so good service.

I want to specifically thank our server Daniel and the manager on duty. They were attentive, excited to explain all offerings, recommend based on our preferences, and made a wonderful experience.

We had the “Lighter 75” and the “Josephine Old Fashioned” to drink. And started with the Macaroni and added bacon - very pleased. The brunch was great with the Burger and Eggs Benedict.

The manager, sorry to not catch his name, checked on us periodically and sent us the Crème Brûlée as a little surprise. Absolutely marvelous. We will surely be back for the dinner service!
