The food and the ambience were good at Josephine. However, the service was quite poor. I made the reservation three weeks in advance and even called twice to confirm everything was set. Despite arriving on time, my party and I were seated 40 minutes after our reservation!! Each time I went to the front desk, I was told that the party seated at our table had run over their time and had not yet left. We had another commitment afterward and ended up arriving late because of the delay. It was especially disappointing for a place I had heard so highly of.

The food and service was very good. However, the valentines day special for $250/couple is a clear money grab. At this price wine or drinks should be included. Lastly, our table for two was sandwiched so close between two other tables that we had zero privacy. We couldnt even whisper without the other tables hearing us. Thats not very romantic. For the high price and lack of privacy, we'll choose another restaurant for vday 2027.

This is our second Valentine's dinner with Josephine, our personal tradition and worth every penny! Our favorite French restaurant in an area with plenty of competition. Don't miss the brunch either.

Trout. Escargot, oysters, steaks, profiteroles everything was delicious! There were eight of us and we ate so many things on the menu and everything was delicious. We had the best time! Thanks for taking such good care of our guests.

Josephine's is a favorite destination in Old Town. The onion soup and lyonnaise salad were perfect starters with our entrés. The beef bourguignon and steak frites were both stars. We went with the profiteroles which were the best version i've had. Service was amazing and the ambiance is spectacular. sommelier was so friendly and helpful. Loved our experience at Josephine's!

Enjoyed a fabulous birthday dinner for my husband here. Everything from ambiance to service to food was absolutely top tier. I started with a refreshing rosemary pear mocktail and we shared the Gruyère appetizer which was lovely. I had the Beef bourguignon and the flavor was fantastic. My husband had the steak and loved every bite. Our waiter, Ernesto, made sure our evening was a memorable celebration, big kudos to him for his impeccable service! Can’t recommend this restaurant enough and already looking forward to our next visit!

I visited this restaurant during restaurant week for the first time, and had an absolutely lovely experience. I needed to leave a review, which I do not typically do. The manager was actively walking around greeting guests, my server was super attentive and provided great recommendations. The food was delicious, specially I ordered the salmon. Eating this food, I felt great afterwards given the quality ingredients. They even had non alcoholic champagne for me! The atmosphere is great with mood lighting and unique rooms to dine in. I can’t wait to come back and bring my friends and family! This is a must try restaurant in old town!!
