Went here for my Valentine's because my boyfriend knew that this was a spot on my list, food and service is amazing. The atmosphere is perfect for a night of romance. My fish was cooked perfectly and the drinks were made well. Would definitely come here again!

Aces cocktails, elevated Indian cuisine. The sweet potato appetizer is out of this world. Have been here 4 times with different groups. Every dish that every person has ordered has been goodVegetarian options: Many vegan and vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: Menu clearly marked for dietary restrictions, several vegan and vegetarian options

We had reservations at 6 PM on a Tuesday night. We were running late and arrived about 45 min late and hungry as I skipped lunch. We were 4 people. The food was great and among great dishes I wanted to pick the best appetizer and main dish. The best appetizer was Jodpur chicken. It had the perfect mix of spices and char. The best main course was lachedar paratha. The layers were just great and cooked with ghee hit the spot. The servers gave us a lot of attention and we had non alcoholic drinks, both were unique and refreshing. Parents think it is one of the top 5 indian food he has had. So even though it is a little far away, we will definitely come back

This restaurant is super expensive and tiny portions. We ordered Chicken Tika masala it was in small containers which is not enough for kid. No worthy for price.

Phenomenal service, delicious food, excellent wine options/pairings… one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! Very elevated cuisine, fun fusions, a great modern take on many traditional dishes… the general manager James was also delightful and attentive. And the espresso martini was the best I’ve ever had (and is remarkably made without espresso!).

Overall, our experience was fine. We went to Kismet for our five year anniversary, and at first, everything seemed great. However, it then took over an hour to get our food. Even getting the bottle of wine that we ordered nearly immediately after being seated took at least 25 minutes to arrive. By the time our food arrived, we had to quickly eat in order to get back to the babysitter. We admittedly did decide to order on the regular menu instead of the restaurant week menu (we were provided with both). If that was the contributing factor to our food coming out so late, I truly wish someone would have mentioned in the beginning that we would experience a delay.

We mostly enjoyed the place but I would not come back. I almost don't care to place a review but our chicken in the starter was raw. I mean literally uncooked in the middle. That's what did it for me. There were some other detracting factors with cleanliness, price, and presentation but the raw chicken was too much.

We tried chicken tikka masala and it was one of the best that we have tried so far. Tandoori cauliflower is a must for a vegetarian appetizer with a kick of spice and lots of flavor with the garam masala. Goat cheese naan was another great choice and the lamb sheekh kebab as well for an appetizer. Spicy heat level might not satisfy some people but was perfect personally.

Kismet Modern Indian is one of my favorite Indian cuisine restaurants in Alexandria. In a quaint modern space off King Street in Old Town with an impressive menu of staples and twist on Indian staples. We were promptly seated for a dinner reservation and there is paid street parking nearby. The staff is attentive and when I visit in person I am generally always visited by the manager on duty at the table. They truly care about your experience at the restaurant. The food is always good - I have yet to have a dish that I did not like. The atmosphere of the restaurant has moderate lively noise because of the space. I recommend a visit! Prices are $$-$$$ depending on menu items ordered.

Excellent Indian food, fresh. Tandoori shrimp, spinach & cauliflower kofta, and chicken tikka masala are my favorites. The Salt and Pepper Gimlet is a must have.
