I’ve been a most highly satisfied customer of Kiwi Kuisine for years. I generally have them deliver a dozen meat pies of varying selections every month, for six months at a time, then I renew. I’m hooked on steak & cheese, steak & stout and the steak garlic mushroom pies but I don’t believe you can go wrong with any of their gorgeous little pastry with lucious meat fillings, yummee, and this is from an Aussie expat who’s lived in DC for years. I got pies at the Old Town Farmers market. The bacon egg and sausage pie is awesome! The steak pie if good too. But the chicken curry pie had the taste of old chicken. Maybe it’s just me but I couldn’t hack it. But, I love a local business. They are also for sale in Whole Foods. Pie is a big thing down under and it is fun to have the option up here.
Kiwi Quisine purveyors of fine New Zealand pies great on their own as a snack or as part of a meal. If you see the truck at an outdoor event you may be treated to the owner Ram singing something not to miss !
