Place is dirty and the food is tastes. Seats are torn up and have never been maintained. Hear of quices being to wet but never had one that was so dry. Not sure how you manage that. Also the contents had no bacon or onions despite being in the description.

I’ve gone to several La Madeleines over the years including this one a few times, and I’ve always had fine experiences. But recently, I had a bad experience at this Kingstowne location. My husband and I arrived well before closing time (around 7:20 pm) and placed our order. The food came quickly, but my soup was not brought out. I told the server that I was waiting on a cup of soup. I waited another five to ten minutes before going up to the counter and asking for it. The soup I was handed was ice cold and inedible. I alerted the staff at the register and asked for them to put it in a to go container since my husband was already done eating at this time. Apparently all the soup burners had been turned off. The staff didn’t seem to care much that I had waited so long or that I was given ice cold soup. Also, while we were eating, the staff had started putting away all the desserts and dishes, making so much noise that we could barely stand to sit inside. It was not a pleasant experience and left us feeling very disappointed in the service.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I come here all the time because the food is great quality and delicious. The people working there are always kind and welcoming. And the atmosphere is so chill. I go there often to work on a writing project or to catch up with a good friend. I like to sit next to the warm fire place and eat a bowl of soup. I have been to the Old Town location and this one in Kingstowne. I have to say this one in Kingstowne is much better for a variety of reasons. So please support this location with your business. It is a great place to chill so I would hate to see it ever dissapear.

I had an excellent experience at La Madeleine. I ordered via Uber Eats. My order was ready before Uber predicted it would be. The restaurant has a pick-up order area in the back of their establishment, which is very nice. If you order via DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc., it makes it so that you don't have to interact with anyone to pick up your order.Everything tasted as authentic as I remember the dishes tasting when I lived in Belgium and visited France. The Sacher Torte Parfait was especially good, as was the French Dip. I would definitely visit this La Madeleine location again.

Placed an order for pickup and they literally didn’t have the majority of the pastries that I had ordered. When I got there, my order hadn’t been packed up even though I had placed it several hours ahead of time. I can understand not packing up the quiches but the pastries should have been. I was told to pick from what was left, which was close to nothing. No discount for not having most of what I ordered, no call to let me know they were out of the items, nothing. It was like other orders were fulfilled in the mean time and I got what was left. Won’t be doing that again. For the amount of money I spent, something should have been done.
