Took my daughter in law for a special occasion. The food was fantastic, I love the variety of choices in the three courses. The china was beautiful, everything seemed very elegant and upper English tea, But - unfortunately, the space is far too small. Given the way tables were wedged in to fit the sizes of groups, we spent much of our meal with staff and customers apologizing as they scooted past our table. I had to stand up to let other diners past our table, and felt very claustrophobic. There were only probably 20 other customers, but the small space meant it was very noisy. At a total of $150 for two people to have tea and sandwiches, I had hoped for a more comfortable experience.
Adorable decor, delicious food - my dad has lactose intolerance and I can’t have gluten, and they were able to easily accommodate our dietary restrictions without any hassle whatsoever. Slightly understaffed but that’s our only complaint - we’ll definitely be back again!
Cute decor and cups but average food and nonexistent service. Would return for scones but the other food wasn’t worth it. Desserts in tiny plastic cups were tacky.
Loved the new tea house in Old Town Alexandria. Passion fruit panacotta was delicious

SO delicious and well priced and authentic!
I am so thrilled to FINALLY find a (really, really good) british scone in the area! A true british scone is a real delight and these are moist and dense and come with jam and clotted cream. I will be back so many times.
If you've been across the pond and crave a real british scone, or if you haven't been to the UK yet and want to know what the "fuss" is about between British vs American scones, this is the place for you! This place does a full tea service and sells other high tea items, but you can also just get scones (I got individual scone pick up) and they come with clotted cream and jam. They come in two flavors, plain and white chocolate cranberry.
I am so so so so happy this place exists.
I recently visited Lady Camilla Tea to celebrate a birthday, and overall, it was a mixed experience. The ambiance was undeniably charming — the aesthetic decor created a lovely atmosphere, and the view of the Alexandria waterfront added to the experience.
The Jasmine and Vanilla tea was absolutely delicious, and the assorted tea accompaniments were a delightful touch, offering a variety of flavors to enjoy. The pricing felt reasonable for a high tea service, falling in the mid-range category.
However, the service left something to be desired. Unfortunately, we felt rushed through our tea, which took away from what should have been a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Being hurried through such a thoughtfully prepared setting was disappointing.
While the atmosphere and tea selections were lovely, I hope the service improves to match the otherwise delightful experience.
I enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea celebrating a friend’s birthday. Im not a big fan of tea normally, but I had one that was delicious (it was recommended for kids 😅) . The food was wonderful, the view was great, and the atmosphere was so nice. I’d go back again.
Great experience! Went here for my birthday and I got a little birthday cupcake. Pastries, chicken salad tea sandwich, smoked salmon tea sandwich really delicious 🤤
Weekday service (2pm Tuesday) was lacking severely, and felt rushed when there was no crowd. Perhaps it was just the server we had, but she was not friendly nor was she helpful and walking us through the process even though we mentioned it was our first time having a high tea experience and that we were celebrating a birthday. Aside from the pretty interior, I did not feel that this place was worth the hype due to the pricing and poor service.
Such a fun way to spend an evening! The food and tea were delicious! Definitely not an inexpensive outing though! Also, we had to wait quite awhile for our table because a large group was getting finished in the main room. I still would go back.

Such a great experience! The tea was lovely and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was the icing on the... petit fours!
Lady Camellia offers a charming tea experience, but my visit had a few bumps along the way.
I opted for the Ginger Apricot Oolong, which was intensely gingery—great for ginger lovers, but possibly overpowering for some. Due to allergies, I received a customized plate of tea sandwiches, along with a cranberry scone, chocolate croissant, passionfruit parfait, and a mini birthday cupcake—a lovely touch that I appreciated.
However, service logistics left room for improvement. Our 2 PM reservation was pushed to 2:30 PM, yet we still waited another 15 minutes for a table. A lingering large party meant our group had to be split into two separate tables, which took away from the communal experience. While I loved our window seat overlooking the Alexandria waterfront, the seating arrangement was quite tight, making it difficult to move around. Additionally, large parties didn’t get to select their own tea items, which might be disappointing for some guests.
Would I return? Maybe—if the service flow improves. The ambiance was lovely, and the food was enjoyable, but a smoother experience would make it truly delightful.
Loved the raspberry macarons!
