Le Refuge is such a cozy and charming spot that instantly feels like a little escape. The food is super comforting and full of flavor—think classic French dishes done really well. I loved the warm atmosphere and how welcoming the staff were; it honestly felt like a home away from home. Perfect for a relaxed night out or a special date. Can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu!

In a town filled with great restaurants (and some not so great) Le Refuge stands out as just about perfect. Charming and authentic Parisian, friendly and efficient service. Great menu choices and excellently prepared meals. Prices are reasonable. Never miss either lunch or dinner there when we’re visiting in Alexandria.

This is our favorite special spot, our go to for any occasion we want to celebrate a little. We do lunch since we are elderly at heart and don't like eating a big dinner haha. The food is always excellent - the veal and the beef tips are our go-tos, but can attest the trout and chicken are also superb. Never an off day. And always professional service.

A true Parisian gem! Superb dining experience as the ambiance mirrors visiting a French cafe on the Champs-Élysées, and the food is magnificient! We dropped in for lunch and shared both the scallop and veal entree, and they both rendered us speechless. Just a marvelous addition to Olde Towne!

Food and service was good. It’s a very tight intimate space. Would recommend: crab avocado starter, scallops, rock fish, and house cocktail.

An amazing experience! Our server was so attentive and friendly. We had potato-leek soup, French onion soup, rockfish with lemon butter and capers, and blackened scallops cooled in Pernod (caution: Pernod has a strong alcohol odor which my wife didn’t care for). We paired it with Sancerre wine, and topped off the meal with marvelous ice cream-stuffed pastries drenched with chocolate sauce and fresh whipped cream. Magnifique! We loved this place!

They heat the food on the ceramic plates which are very hot at serving. Be careful.
I burnt my arm and the best the waiter could do was, 'I told you the plate is hot' and walked away.

Maybe he had a bad day on June 26th but I'm not eager to go back.

What an incredible little restaurant!! I feel as if I was dining in Europe. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. I love all the French decorations on the wall. Our server Katie was friendly, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. But the FOOD! Amazing! Ever dish was simple but delicious. Sautéed calamari and crawfish wow!! The rockfish so savory, shredded potatoes
Has an amazing crunch and flavor. The sauces made me feel like I was eating at Grandmas. Thank you for not only an amazing meal but an amazing experience. I’m already planning my next trip

Cozy atmosphere with excellent service. Very good French food with some twists. The escargots were well prepared but with tomatoes instead of the traditional garlic. The trout almondine was very good. Save room for desserts! The creme brulee and chocolate mousse cake are wonderful.
