Evening Star is always a nice option I treat myself to every couple of months. Service can be off sometimes, but the food is always above average in tastiness, freshness, and affordability compared to the other restaurants in Old Town/Del Ray. Something for everyone when it comes to options.
Went to check out the Restaurant week offerings and they delivered. Had a lovely dinner in their outdoor patio. We had the roasted Brussel sprout and grilled watermelon salad as starters, and for entrees the roasted chicken (very juicy) ad the chicken Bah Mi sandwich. Dessert was a flourless chocolate cake and a carrot cake which we ended up taking home and having it for breakfast as their portions were generous. Everything was great. It was very quiet but we were a very early dinner so maybe not typical if you eat at a normal time. Food was wonderful, cocktails as well. Service was on top of all our dumb needs as we were dining with a 4 year old.
