I won't be shellfish and gatekeep this place. Matsu sushi has ebi-thing: fresh sushi/sashimi, good prices, and kind staff. I am not a huge sushi eater, but my family and I both really enjoyed a light dinner after the spa...thanks to yelp showing me what was around. Matsu sushi had great reviews and I can see why.
We came around 7:00pm on a Sunday night, and it was pretty full but luckily we were sat right away mear the sushi bar.
We ordered the sushi and sashimi combo, chicken teriyaki, and Sapporo. The sushi and sashimi seemed fresh and were tasty. The chicken teriyaki came on a hot plate with lots of veggies under it, and a serving of rice on the side (just fyi--doesn't come as a bento box).
Waitresses were kind and didn't rush us. Gave us all appetizer salads, miso soup despite only ordering 2 entrees. Service was good.
The restaurant was clean, yet a bit small. Not super trendy for the world of instagram and tik tok, just like a neighborhood sushi house.
Would recommend and would return! Glad to have discovered Matsu.

Very cute restaurant serving a good variety of Japanese cuisine. The small but quaint space still feels roomy and accommodating. We ordered The Katsu Roll Special and Matsuri Ramen Special and the Takiyoki. The Takiyoki came out piping hot and were delicious! The ramen was lukewarm and noodles were over cooked but the broth had depth and flavor, out of the toppings, the bulgogi was my favorite! The Katsu roll Special was not up to par. The chicken seemed like it had been over fried or refried and the sauce was just not it. The salad and the gyoza were great!

Interesting store as I've never been to one like this before. Arrived with 6 people, tables were immediately put together for us on a Saturday evening. The menus were also added quickly so we could order our food and drinks quickly. It didn't take long before the delicious appetizers started. The main courses came soon. Everyone enjoyed it very much. Only the Spicy Miso Ramen I ordered was a bit too spicy for my taste.

I looked up Ramen in my area and Matsui popped with great reviews and five star plus it was close by. the inside is quite with a sushi bar in the corner making some of the best Nigiri and sushi. I ordered the Taki Yaki, spicy ramen, and the sake maki which just melts in your mouth. the medium spicy ramen was very tame, I did request for some extra spice. they obliged. for the next 15min that It took me to finish the soup I actually felt something. This truly was a fine succulent Japanese meal.

Delicious. Stopped by for a quick lunch. Spicy miso was Spicy which is so nice because usually is not. Kani Kani roll so yummy
