I went to Mia's for Thanksgiving dinner with friends, and it was a great experience. I ordered from the Thanksgiving menu and and my two friends ordered from the regular menu. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food, the ambience, and the excellent service from our server, Kate. I hadn't been to Mia‘s in a couple of years, but I will definitely be going more often.
This was our second Thanksgiving dining at Mia's and we intended to make this our annual tradition, but sadly, this visit was just ok. Several serving items were dirty and we had to request new ones, our food was served barely warm vs. hot, and overall, we left with the feeling that it just wasn't great. Our server was pleasant, but at nearly $50 per person for the five of us, it just wasn't worth it. With the location and last year's experience, I was excited and hoping for another great meal, but left disappointed.
All was great except the piped-in music and noise level at Mia's. It was very hard to have a conversation at the table on the first floor due to the music playing and poor acoustics. The music was loud and a very poor choice of music selections and artists. Most of the music was rock-oriented with loud drumming and voicing. This was Thanksgiving- a time for family or friends gathering who were out for a peaceful, conversational and enjoyable time, not a Friday night end-of-the-week celebration when loud and spirited music might be more appropriate. I asked the waiter and the manager if the music could be turned down. The waiter said he would check, and the manager indicated he would take care of it. The music then seemed to be a little quieter but frankly, by the time we were at dessert, the music seemed to be louder again. Not only was the music loud, the selections were wrong for the occasion. There should have been a programming change for the Thanksgiving holiday such as some light classical or light voice music choices. The noise level of people talking and service being rendered was also a small issue which may not be easy to work on as the place may not be able to have an overhaul on acoustics with sound deafening panels, etc. Other than the frustration with the noise level and loud music, the experience was good. Food and food choices were great, and the service was excellent. Kudos to our waiter, Ricardo. In the meantime, we are hopeful that something can be done with the piped-in music. We will consider coming back because of the food choices and service, but will hope that the experience will be quieter and free of the loud and disturbing music.
AMAZING! I've been to this restaurant for happy hour and decided to take my family here for Thanksgiving. Everything from the menu, the drinks, the service was amazing. I will always recommend this place to anyone who is visiting or local.
Had wonderful food and great service . You always get value for your money in this restaurant
Food was good, servicing size with price and it being in old Alexandria seems fair. Mixed drink that I ordered was somewhat watered down so would probably hold off ordering a cocktail from here again and just order a beer instead. Great location with tons of street parking around here.
I had an amazing time! Freddie was my server and he took really good care of us and he was very sweet and professional! I would definitely request him again if he's there when I come back! Food was amazing as well as drinks and service was prompt!
What a wonderful experience! We had a large group and it was a. Wry busy night yet they were able to manage our group and reservation professionally. From Brandon at the check in to our amazing waiter, Chris, we enjoyed the evening tremendously. Chris made the dinner very special and the food was fantastic- and we all had different items. 5 Stars all around.
We loved the pick your own four course meal for $40! Great value and we got to taste a lot of different things. Great food and great service, as always!
Great service! Manager was helpful getting a seat before my reservation and server was exceptional and friendly

Our server, Kenneth, was excellent. We enjoyed all of our meals. I originally ordered the grinder sandwich, but the cold cuts were so spicy hot, I could not eat it. So I substituted.Cacio e pepe and it was incredibly delicious. The best I have ever had.
Excellent group meal for 8. Excellent service, very good food, great value and location. Fun experience for everyone.
Great environment. Food was top notch. Loved the salumni and formaggi selections. Can't wait to come back to try more items on the menu
Service always sucks, but food is reasonably priced and tastes really good so makes up for it.
Overall, it was a good experience. We went for my wife's birthday, but nothing special was done. The food was delicious and fresh.
