Milk & Honey Express Southern Inspired Kitchen

This was a fabulous find. Being the Southern inspired menu, we opted for the fried green tomato appetizer, panko breaded deviled eggs were an unexpected and unusual offering that was phenomenally delicious. We also enjoyed their cajun pasta to round out the meal. We had courteous service from staff that were friendly, responsive and informative and efficient and fun. Very reasonable priced for quality and quantity of food. Highly recommend.

We started with their Fried Green Tomatoes which were awesome! The tomatoes were in a delicious sauce and topped with spinach. Best Fried Green Tomatoes we've ever had. Next, even though it was mid-afternoon, I had their pancakes topped with peaches, strawberries and blueberries. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. My husband had their Fish Sandwich and was not sorry. The service was excellent. We look forward to going back.

We visited Milk and Honey Express in Alexandria today because we needed to stop at the post office down Rte 1. What a wonderful surprise! Ms Pat greeted us as we entered and was incredibly welcoming. We ordered the egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches, one with turkey sausage and one with bacon. We ordered an extra order of the biscuits not realizing how full we would be! Ms Pat gave us a side of her fresh peach jam. We will be trying that later today! The sandwiches were excellent! We didn’t realize we would get two each and they were loaded with egg and cheese and meat. The biscuits are so buttery and sweet. Not a speck of dryness in them. We will definitely be back when we are up this way!

I visited this location back in march and i was very pleased with the service, taste and overall experience, Miss Pat was an angel. The owner and herself were the only ones working at the time and they kept up with service and still provided excellent hospitality and beyond delicious food. They set the bar high and I’m looking forward to trying the new location in Virginia Beach, which is closer to where I’m located. 1000/10 I highly recommend

True Southern cooking. They have an amazing honey latte. The workers are the best. Mrs. Pat is amazing and makes the experience feel like you're eating at home. Go check it out and support a local black owned business.
