Visiting DC and the surrounding area from Cleveland, OH. After a long day visiting the monuments, we came across this restaurant. Friendly service, clean all the way around, and WOW! All the meats were so delicious and moist (half rack ribs and pulled pork), the sides were fantastic (the cornbread was a hit!). Even though we won’t be able to visit again, we highly recommend this to any visitors or locals!!

The brisket plate was very good and was able to share a rib with someone. Fall-off-the-bone with good flavor. Their original sauce has a little sweetness to it.

Visited today and location was completely closed down. Official notice from Alexandria Govt. on front door suggested full closure and that restaurant has been bought out by another entity. Per notice, change to new ownership/zoning is under review. New name for new ownership suggests no longer Myron Mixons and will be a new restaurant.

What a disappointment. Maybe it was an off night, or somebody was having a bad day. The ribs came out and they were dry, not cooked through and looked like they’ve been sitting around for awhile. The biggest challenge, was when the bill came. It did not match up with the prices on the menu and when I asked for an explanation it only made it more confusing for me. I paid at least $25 more than what I expected the bill to be. Since I was too tired to argue I just decided to pay it and not come back. I REALLY wanted to like this place.

Went in here looking for dinner. Plenty of open tables. Waited 9mins at the host stand to be finally be acknowledged with "just 1?" *eye roll from host. He walks several feet ahead of me tosses a menu on the table and without breaking stride keeps walking.10 mins pass no one shows up to so much as take a drink order, so I leave. Very disappointed, some people said the food was really good, now ill never know. Maybe this is why there were so many open tables on a night where old town restaurants were packed due to the scottish walk and boat parade.

I have been here several times in the past. my 1st time was fantastic. every time since then everything has gotten worse. the food quality has gotten worse. The quality of service has gotten worse. This was my favorite BBQ spot at one point. I am sorry to say i will not be going back and i will not recommend it to anyone i know.

Amazingly exquisite Thanksgiving meal of briskets and beans and collard greens. From prior visits, I knew they’d be great. Never disappoints.

Great bbq. Brisket is great and the wings are good too. Stopped here on a road trip with my father. He loved it.

It was great, everyone was so friendly. The food was the best barbecue I've had, and I lived in Texas for 10 years so I've tried different places.

Portion size is horrible got a family size meal and might only feed 2 adults and 1 child. Food was cold and the meat taste like it has no seasoning. Highly disappointed especially for the amount that i spent. About $120 and i would have gotten twice as much food from famous daves which taste way better. Well trying something new and caught a lose for this one. Smdh.
