Cozy, quaint spot in Del Ray, but food is subpar. I ordered a chicken salad and glass of wine... I wasn't impressed. The grilled chicken seemed to taste like the frozen variety. And for Nectar to market as a "wine bistro" the wine selection is definitely lacking. Their menu advertises 3 reds and 4 whites, but there was one of each the day I went.

Nectar is a very inviting place. It has a neighborhood feel and is a good place to sip some coffee. You can order sandwiches and a variety things to nibble on. I have tried a few of their sandwiches and do not find them particularly good. All seem to be on standard loaf bread and there is just nothing that stands out. Also, Nectar can be quite crowded at times and the staff is relatively small so it can slow them down. Nonetheless, I really love the environment and hope the place continues to evolve as it has very good potential.

I went into this location for the first time and I'll start off with the good... 1. The place is cute and cozy 2. Worth the money 3. Walking distance BUT service is key! I walked in and 2 women walked in behind me - older than me so because I have manners, I opened the door for them and they thanked me and I let them go ahead of me. They were greeted immediately & with a smile...I was looking at the menu and moved out of the way so that I can decide what I want. The older gentleman with a full set of white hair behind the counter did not greet me, look at me or even acknowledge my presence. However he did make it clear he was annoyed with his sighing & uninterested expression. At this point no one else was in line with me. After a minute I place my order - the only time he made eye contact with me and I paid in cash. He walks away without a word and I move over to wait for my order. Another customer walks in and he immediately smiles at him and greets him then places my change down in front of the next client. Again, not acknowledging me, addressing me or even handing me my change. I walk over pick up the change and put it in the tip jar and walk back over to wait for my order. When receiving my order a lovely woman handed me part of my order and thanked me right after he handed me the rest of my order and without again looking at me said thanks. Now usually I wouldn't take time out of my day to write this review but this shocked and upset me enough to do this. Both customers in front and behind me were Caucasian and slightly older. So I cannot be sure if he was discriminating against me for my skin tone or my age?! Either way I felt that this beautiful cozy place that seemed to be a nice new place for me to grab a bite to eat, that actually has good quality food, is not worth it because...I will not allow myself to be subjected to this type of disrespect for a simple bite to eat.

I went for breakfast and it did not amaze me at all. I got an everything bagel w cream cheese. The bagel seemed mass produced. Gf got a breakfast sandwich with sausage egg cheese and bacon. Everything seemed premade, assembled and then heated up/grilled. Drinks: the orange juice was from the bottle. Chai latte lacked a little bit of spice. Mocha was okay. I would not recommend breakfast here. Other reviews say the other times might be better.

The food and especially the coffee is way above average for this special place. Love going there. The only problem is the sound in the place. With all the hard surfaces the talk reverberates and increases as people get loud which they do. It ruins the meal when you have raise your voices to hear one another. If management would take steps to soften or absorb the sound, it would be so perfect.

Cozy and a perfect place to study. I flew in at 11am and needed a place to dock until 3pm. The ambiance is chill with great music playing. I ordered a cappacino and it came hot and was delicious. For lunch, I ordered a Blue salad with a cup of chicken salad on top. Very delicious! Overall, cleanliness and service are great- highly recommend for anyone that needs to get some work done because they have fast internet as well. Thank you to the staff for the friendly and welcome environment!

Very cozy place. Friendly staff and good service. I ordered an apple cinnamon waffle. The plating was beautiful and good portions, however it lacked flavor. Cinnamon is generally a very noticeable flavor so I was quite surprised that it was so bland. The white mocha latte was delicious. I’ll probably return to try something else because overall it was a good experience.
Such a cute place! Very warm, welcoming, and homey vibe, plus there's plenty of space for people to work, read, or just hang out. Coffee is good and the breakfast sandwiches are delightful.

My boss and coworker came here on a Wednesday morning for waffles to celebrate the launch of a project we had been working on. I ordered a chocolate chip waffles with fresh strawberries and whip cream, my boss got the waffle with strawberry-chia compote and whip cream and my coworker got the waffle with apple cinnamon apples. I'd say my waffle was pretty good. I do like the more simple kind so I was very satisfied. I also got a coffee which was perfect - strong but not bitter. I would definitely come back to try other things and maybe even work there. You feel like you are in someone's house.

Not exactly a restaurant. It's Starbucks with a counter to order food. Wish we had known that before going. We thought it was an actual restaurant with an actual sit down menu brunch. This is a good place for a bagel and coffee.

I love, love your coffee, but have been recently disappointed with your change up in food. I liked the old biscuit breakfast sandwich and now the pumpkin muffins don't taste as good as they did last year. Please promise to never change your coffee!
