Kim is an exceptional lady, who took the time to explain her roots, and the way her food is different than other Vietnamese restaurants, and how her mom inspired many of the menu items.
However when you have folks who are preparing the food, who don't understand the culture, concept, and passion behind the dishes, somethings might slip through the cracks...
Like how long do you leave rice paper in the water before it starts to rip, or shrimp paste is supposed to smell like that, and it is to be eaten that way, or how to properly wash your bones when you make a stock, and not leave it smelling or tasting gamey.
Although Kim explained her version of the famous dish Bun Bo Hue, the place where her family comes from, there were minute details which I didn't care for, and I missed the usual garnished that are served with the dish, however authentic they might or might not be.
The Pho was good, a big portion of meat.
The star of my lunch were the crispy Wontons, perfectly balanced with the sweet chili sauce.
Overall a cute spot, will go back to try more dishes
First time visit. Amazing food, very generous portions. Was happy to find a seafood option since it was a Lenten Friday.
Fastest Pho bowl ever
Some of the most flavorless pho I’ve tried…. I think all the 5 star reviews are from those who have never had proper pho before. The large size left much to be desired. The iced coffee also had way too much condensed milk.
Pho ga was great and some of the best spring rolls in the area. Friendly, fast service too.
Flavorless pho for sure. Not ordering from here again. The amount of food is not worth the money. I place an order online and didn’t even filled the container with broth. Chicken meat is plain
Been coming here for years. They’ve renovated inside, and the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. Staff is so nice. Food is great. Haven’t tried the Bahn Mi, seems newer on the menu, but I definitely come just for the Pho 🙃
Ordered the bun bo hue and I it tasted watered down. The meat was too thick and chewy. It also tasted old. I was only given bean sprouts. What happened to bok choy? If you want good bun bo hue, go to pho Viet Fresh in Herndon. You will not be disappointed.
Amazing place, their food is fantastic. The Banh Mi sandwich is phenomenal. I just get off put by the religious music and stuff as that’s not the lunch vibe I’m going for.

LOVE this place for my beef pho. I tried the bun bo hue for the first time and LOVED it!!!! It's more savory than pho (you can omit the pig knuckle, I did NOT). Plus they have kid sized pho (beef or chicken) and my girls love it too!!! I order a side of the fatty brisket to add to their beef pho to give them a little more beef variety. We also order the spring and summer rolls, just as yummy!! Next time, I will ask for more spice in the bun bo hue. The owner is a really sweet lady, good at recommendations, and always answers my curiosity about how they prepare their soups. I'm excited to try their Bahn Mi and other specialty platters if I can pull myself away from their yummy soup bowls!

I ordered the wonton soup with pork, noodles and wontons. It was at first really good until I found on my spoon what was left of a spider... I was sad b/c I was enjoying my food for the first half but as soon as I came across the dead spider, I found it too difficult to eat any more of this.
I get it bugs can get into greens and stuff and stuff happens but this was really unappetizing and I don't know if I'll be able to ever order from here again.

I came here for a quick little visit during lunch.
I enjoy Wontons and Shrimp toast and that's what I decided to order.
The Wontons are small but flavorful, and the Shrimp Toast are undeniably delectable.
The inside is very nice and clean and relaxing. The Guava Hard Candy is one of my favorite things to grab. Cute place to go for lunch or dinner.
Parking: Plenty of parking in this area.

Bun Bo Hue was so yummy and authentic, 10/10! The beef and pork hock were well seasoned (with lemongrass) and cooked perfectly. Chicken Pho and grill pork was ok 7/10. The place was clean and neat designed. Service was very friendly. Hope they'll earn more business.Things to improve (in my opinion): music should be changed to instrument music instead of Vietnamese ballad songs. Bun Bo Hue soup can be less spicy and customer can add chilli to adjust the hot level to their taste.
