I haven't been to the neighborhood restaurant but I heard it was good fun. It appears to closed until notice according to the hand written signs on the doors.

Good food very authentic flavors.

Service was great. I've been three or four times in the last few weeks because I've been craving Pupusas and the same server seems to be working. This place is not what it use to be, so I go to eat and leave.

I'm a little disappointed because it's not what it use to be. I use to come for patron full karaoke nights, beyond delicious food and drinks. Now the DJ please throwbacks such as Grease, Funkytown and MJ. The food is okay and the drinks are strong but it's weird seeing this place so empty.

The masses are so use to eating the same old Town Alexandria menu that they aren't able to realize that most of that stuff comes from the same restaurant warehouse. Most places in that general area are either owned by the same two restaurant group chains so if you are a Gung ho drone, discovering a real place to eat may be a challenge No, it doesn't have outdoor seating but everything is insanely fresh. Absolutely no doubt in that statement. Try it yourself

Never judge a book by its cover. This place will change your life. I had a bean and cheese pupusa and the seafood soup and I swear to God I'm wanting to move to the neighborhood just because of this restaurant. Don't miss out if you are in the area.

I have been going to Pilar's for over 25 years.. ever since they were in their original location on Telegraph Road. Because of the construction on Telegraph road they moved to Huntington avenue over 10 years ago. I have known Ms. Pilar (first name) personally for at least 15 years. All the food is at this point personally prepared by het still... You can't go wrong if you want Mexican or Salvadorian cuisine. The best pupusas, the best tamales de pollo, all food fresh and delicious.

They serve food honest Central America food here, comparable to what I have had traveling through place like Honduras and El Salvador. The pupusas are delicious and fresh AND inexpensive. What more do you need to know?
Excellent family food and prices. Don't let the outside scare you. Very friendly woman owns the place. Great Fajitas and Papussas!

Great Central American food at great prices. This is my go-to place for papusas. Service could be a little better, but not enough to stop me from coming.

Good food kind of a greasy spoon the margaritas are ok.

The only thing that I can complain about is the area (sketchy individuals loiter the parking lot at night) and the bathroom (had ants on the wall). Outside of that, I could eat here weekly.
This restaurant is now closed.
THIS PLACE IS OUT OF BUSINESS
