Great store and staff! Visited earlier to get someone some traditional Ghana 🇬🇭 food. The guy in the line in front of me was super nice and explained some food items to me like: corn 🌽 mixed with peanut 🥜 butter 🧈 and ginger. 🫚 If you don’t like ginger 🫚 you probably won’t like some of the items. The wife wasn’t a fan. I thought it was delicious and much better than the lemonade we made at Deliver Lean; that was the most ginger thing I have ever had 😂 it burned to drink that stuff. Anyway, great staff, great food, smelled amazing!!! Wish I had tried more stuff cause the meats smelled amazing. Muslim friendly as it had a sign praising Allah. I’m a barefoot 🦶 servant of Lord Jesus and know that The Holy Spirit watches over all the children of God Almighty no matter what name. Also, the cops posted outside made it feel more safe and secure. Wish I’d take more photos. The music was awesome!! Wife had to made me stop snapping 😂

2 years later and my assessment is the same and that the workers that are customer facing could really benefit from some customer service training. I don’t think anyone that’s client facing should talk to their customers so recklessly. On top of him gaslighting me, he forgot an item in my order. When I reminded him he didn’t believe me so he reprinted the receipt to verify. This whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

Food is normally a 5, customer service is TERRIBLE!

I love going to this restaurant, although I’ve given it a 2, I’ll continue to go.

For the best result, order your food in person, and check EVERYTHING before you leave. They are notorious for leaving out things you’ve paid for, not including everything that comes with the meal, or adding random proteins instead of what was requested.

Lastly, the prices are always changing depending on who is cashing you out.

Ordered the okra and the egusi soup, nothing but oil and inedible. Felt sick after eating a few bites. Wouldn't recommend for the soups I ordered. The fish pie was dry.

This restaurant used to be small, but now they’re expanding—and the food has gotten even better! I’ve eaten fufu here before, and the quality has really upgraded. The prices are perfect, the food is amazing, and I’d love to keep coming back.

For anyone who loves African food, this is a Ghanaian restaurant and probably the best in the DMV area. It has quickly become one of my favorite spots.

Made a purchase totaling 70 bucks all items were not there. Called back to talk to them they didn't answer the phone. Good food, but a pure disappointment.

Exceptional food. Nice people, quick service. I have eaten very little African food so I asked them to choose something for me. So so delicious.

I love this place. This is the ONLY African restaurant that tastes just like the food that you get from Grandma’s or my Aunties house. The pepper soup and beans are my go to when I go there.

Delicious authentic African cuisine freshly prepared. Staff are courteous detail oriented and very pleasant atmosphere.

The food waakye and Jollof rice is exceptional. I’m from houston the city of food and if I say it’s good best believe they are mouth watering.

I ordered fufu with goat in okra stew and it was delicious. As I was eating I noticed something strange in the food. I had luckily poured the stew into a wide bowl, because the strange object was a roach. I’m extremely grossed out. See the attached picture.
