This place is a hidden gem! Unsuspecting in a shopping center but it is airy and bright inside. The servers are kind and knowledgeable and the food is delicious. They have a great craft beer and wine selection and their cocktails are tasty.

Recently visited for dinner service after visiting the owner has right next door. There is plentiful free parking as the restaurant is located in a shopping center area. The restaurant is truly a hidden gem in an intimate space that is minimally yet chicly designed. We were greeted immediately upon arrival and although we made a reservation the restaurant was not very busy for a weekday dinner date. The staff was courteous and very attentive giving great recommendations for wine pairings and about the entree options. We had the Spanish garlic shrimp entree with was good but with a thicker than normal sauce that I’ve experienced with similar dishes. The lasagna was filling and the tilefish was not as flavorful but mixing with the bed of chow chow really made the fish taste better. The lavender blues mocktail was the perfect mix of tart and sweet. The restaurant has amazing wine options. A special place for a date night or if you want to experience an elevated dinner of the beaten path of Old Town Alexandria. $$ @sharpandsoundstyle

Whenever I visit high-end restaurants, I often feel a bit out of place and intimidated. However, the staff here, especially our waiter Brett, went above and beyond to make me feel at ease. The decor was stunning, and the food—from the gumbo to the fish—was incredibly flavorful and delicious. I can’t stop praising Brett; his passion for the food and the way he described each dish was truly remarkable.

Delicious food, attentive and charming staff, feels like everyone working here enjoys what they do. My meal was lovely, my wine was great, and they have a nice wine shop next door with anything you could want for a picnic along the river. I was so happy to eat here and can’t wait to come back next time I’m in town. I’ve been to a number of lovely restaurants in old town but honestly this place stole my heart.

From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was amazing. The servers were very informative about the wines and pairings. I went on a journey from Italy to Spain to France to Northern California without leaving out of Alexandria. Perfect date night or a great night out with friends!

The level of thought and detail the chef applies to the preparation of the menu is outstanding. I had the risotto with scallops and was blown away by the flavor. The wait staff are professional and extremely knowledgeable about the menu and wine selection. Wonderful experience. I will definitely visit again.

Parking: Parking is never a problem at this location.

Great neighborhood restaurant & wine bar. Janet the hostess is very friendly and cheerful. Bret the bartender is fabulous can make any cocktail you might desire, Nicky the beverage mgr. will allow you to try any wine on the menu and if she doesn’t have it she will get it. Dominic, one of the mgr. is so knowledgeable about food and wine he is truly a great guy, at the end of my meal he always walks me out and saids thank you for coming…who does that.. the entire staff is great. I’ve talked with the owner 4 times and I’ve only visited the restaurant 5 time in the last 6 weeks. One of my new favorites.

Went this week with a neighbor and were very surprised at how good this place was. The food was excellent, but the service and wine set this place apart. They are connected with the wine store next door and have very good selections for wine by the glass. Our waiter/manager Dominic was so attentive, funny, and knowledgable I couldn't believe how much we enjoyed it.

No other spot like this in the neighborhood! My wife and I got the carrots & ricotta, bolognese, flounder, pot de crème, and the strawberries and cream cake. Everything was delicious and I hope to go more often.
