First staff we see are the hostess, not happy, not attentive, brushing us off when I gave my name. Once seated, it was find. Waitress, other servers were all good. That was one of my local places to stop by. New update, New staff & overall, I'm happy for their new look. I'm hoping they will have happy hostess to greet customers . Thank you.
We had a fantastic brunch on the patio. The food was fabulous and the atmosphere festive. Staff is super friendly. We really love the new Royal!
I hadn't been here since they did a renovation and added a nice patio. The atmosphere is lovely. They have revamped the menu, so there's no longer a Sunday buffet. My party was very pleased with the food and the number of offerings for brunch. I also like that they have early hours so we can go right after church on Sunday without having to waste time. Our service was friendly and maybe just a little slow, but having the manager come over and speak to us and introduce himself, was really a standout of our experience. He told us about the recent changes. I'm so glad I thought about this restaurant. I can easily see this being a regular place for me to have breakfast.
Great service. Very friendly and welcoming😊 Buffet was okay. Omelette station was AWESOME!!! 😊 Will be back for sure...😊
What a gem in Alexandria! From the second we walked in, it was first class all the way. Service was amazing, food presentation and flavour was WOW, the price was stunning. Can't say enough good things about the people, food and service.
Wow - what a great mid week brunch! Food was great, staff and service was excellent, and the atmosphere is really nice. Was recommended to me by someone who had never been, but is planning on going after our great experience.
Overall I didn't enjoy my experience. Upon arrival there was no host to greet us. One of the servers who was walking by and noticed that we were waiting sat us. The cheddar biscuits, which I was looking forward to, were cold and stale. My cappuccino was water down and the side of grits ordered were “crunchy”. The shrimp and grits were tasty. Our waitress was kind and helpful. Not the brunch experience I was hoping for.
This was our second visit in two weeks, this time with another couple. Everyone was extremely pleased with the experience. The staff put forth a team effort rather than relying on a single waiter to take care of our table. We lingered for a long time but never felt pressure to leave. Great food and a friendly atmosphere.
Great food and great service. My wife and I went for Sunday Brunch which was a wonderful experience. The chicken and waffles were delicious. I can't wait to try something from the dinner menu.
It was ok, nothing to rave about. My chicken schnitzel was a bit bland and not very exciting. It wasn't bad, it was just ok and I was hoping for better out of an ARP restaurant. My dinner companions had a similar experience with their food. The original Royal was only good for breakfast. This new version might be the same.

Fantastic if I could give it six stars, I would!
The food was good
My first time back since the remodel. The food was 🔥 I wasn’t sure what to get since the menu has been updated but the cornbread appetizer… omg! Everything was sooo good! The server recommended what we got and I will definitely return !
I sat at the bar and ordered a drink here while I was killing time before my afternoon flight. The drink was amazing. The restaurant was gorgeous. The bartender rang up the drink kind of odd so I ended up paying $18 before tip for a vodka, soda, and juice. I would have loved to stayed and had another but not at that price.
The food, service and the atmosphere was beautiful.
