If you're looking for something and head to the customer service counter for help....don't expect there to be a representative there and when someone shows up, don't expect customer service..from the customer service counter...

I recently signed up for the Safeway pass. However my delivery of groceries has not been so good. The last one I received on 14th August had a container of Simply mashed potatoes that expired the 29th of July. A delivery I had on the 14th of July had a package of Carson's dried beef expired what I thought was August was actually April 19. That means it sat on the shelf for 3 months without being pulled for an expiration date. A couple of months ago I ordered a package of Heritage shaved ribeye beef. They never put a date on it for expiration. When I opened the package it was bad. I mean real bad! This is the third time I have received really out of date items. I have called Safeway and left a message to have their district manager call me. That has not happened. I am now going to go ahead and call Department of Agriculture and tell them the issues for items that are way past an expiration date. There is no reason to have food expired on the shelf for 3 months. I have told the manager before he needs to have real help in the refrigerated perishable isles. I'm also wondering just what is the department manager doing?

This is too the tall thin dude of lighter complexion blue shirt with messaging on the back ugly acting rude Dietz and Watson chicken server. First, he came out of nowhere asking me what I wanted with an attitude. I clearly said 4 piece mixed, but he claimed he heard 8 piece. Apparently can't hear. Second, never washed his hands there's a sink for a reason. I ended up returning the chicken and asked the nice man in Black with to switch and he did. This gentleman should get a big raise!! . To the rude Diets and Watson ahole go back to Customer Service training!

Great place to shop with fairly even prices all around. Im in town visiting a friend and have no idea where to start with maneuvering an alien store. An associate by the name Deven really went above and beyond to help me find nearly my entire shopping list while in the middle of a pick path. Truly cannot thank him enough for his endearing work ethic and outrageously divine customer service skills.

I often come to this store when in town. The people in the deli are absolutely amazing!! Today I was Blessed by Coretta. I asked an employee before asking her to help but often the employees here are not friendly or wanting to help so I walked away and saw Coretta she was gathering items looks like for a pick up. I asked for her help and she joyfully and kindly walked with me to help me. Coretta provided service beyond Excellence!! If only the employees who work on the floor and the Cashiers could be more like Coretta. My recommendation is that Coretta train these employees who does not provide Customer Service in Excellence. Being kind to others will ALWAYS be returned back to you.

A staff member refused to let me use the self-checkout, saying I had too many items. And then there weren't enough cashiers available, leading to long wait time. I don't think this was the store policy, it wasn't mentioned anywhere.

10am on a weekday and many of the advertised sale items in produce were out of stock.
It's just a very nice, huge Safeway with plenty of parking underneath so your car doesn't get wet or get snow on it.
Excellent and friendly pharmacy. I got all my covid and flu and shingles shots there. They also have a Quest lab right in the store.
Very down on their bakery. Annoyed that they stopped making their own sourdough bread. The stuff they sell now is terrible.
Safeway person said it wasn't profitable to make Sourdough. Wth? They cranked up the price from 3.99 a loaf to the current $6.29 in just two years. How can you not make money on flour, water and sourdough starter? Sad.
