FOOD IS GREAT. We are coming from Pennsylvania and we love Vietnamese food so when we saw they had bahn mi, I knew I had to go. The pork was the most flavorful sandwich out of all of them and it was extremely delicious. We had the combo fried rice , it was a 10/10 and we are picky eaters. We also had the egg crepe which we did not care for at all so I would not recommend it . However , I never have mango sticky rice where I live so I decided to take advantage before I leave and it was soo good! Mangos were sweet. I’m definitely coming back here when I go on vacation. Their Thai teas were amazing . The owners and employees were so sweet.

Cheap (relatively) pork banh mi was excellent. $12.90 after tip and tax, and I was plenty full. Maybe the best meat in a banh mi that I’ve had, and the bread was great.

Good Vietnamese restaurant with specialities from South Vietnam (crepes & fish). Recommend Banh Me ( with picked carrots & aioli). Everything fresh, portions are also quite big. Inside is spacious and easy talking area. If you're exploring Old Town Alexandria, you might consider it as a stop to rest & recharge with good food.
About authenticity. It's not a fusion style, it's classic Vietnamese dishes. And you always can ask for less spiciness.

My two kids just ate here today, crispy roll and spring rolls are good, my son ordered another crispy rolls. Amazingly they ate their pho soup , brisket and combo pho, the service is good , but a little smile to the man who served us wouldnt hurt him if he did😊over all its a wonderful experience, nice atmosphere and clean cozy couch.

It took forever for the waiter to bring us food, forgot my drink order, and took again multiple tries and super long wait to just get the check… Food was okay, not bad, but not the best Vietnamese food I’ve had either.

Was given the option of three gluten free choices on the whole menu. Chose crepes which were more like fried eggs, filled with only bean sprouts and literally a tablespoon of pork fat, which was revolting. No more, nothing additional.
No seasonings. Waiter brought a sauce with gluten, although I was very clear on food allergy. I asked if it contained gluten, since it looked like soy sauce, and he said it did.
The restaurant was completely empty at lunchtime. TVs blaring and the waiter eating at another table while engrossed by his phone. Never asked how things were or if he could bring the check.
All around weird and unappealing experience. Will never be back.
Edited to add: Unsure why owner is lying in his reply. Nothing extra was give, why lie?

Pork egg rolls fabulous. Protein and vermicelli on a hot summer day. Yum. More food than I could eat. The server 'Dat' was fast and polite. Definitely coming back
