You know that feeling when you discover something amazing right next to home and wonder how did I not know this before? That was me today! First time at Shooter McGee’s, and honestly, it felt like finding a little hidden gem in the neighborhood.
The place had such a lively yet cozy vibe ,friendly faces, warm lighting, and that classic pub charm that instantly makes you feel comfortable. I went with my husband and best friend, and it turned into one of those easy, laughter-filled afternoons that you never plan but end up cherishing.
We ordered the Blackened Bistro Steak Medallion Risotto one with beef, one with chicken and the Grilled Pork Chops. Everything came out perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully plated. The risotto was creamy, the seasoning just right comfort food with a little kick.
Sometimes the best moments really are this simple good food, good company, and a new favorite spot found by accident. ❤️

I dined here tonight with my husband and had a wonderful time. The fish and chips are to die for, the waiter was thoughtful and attentive, and atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the tap was crisp and clean. 11/10

Lets’s talk about the customer service. The manager Katie stepped in to assist one of the waiters whose section I was in as he was helping a large party and when I tell you she is top shelf that is exactly what I mean. The only reason I know she is the manager is because when I asked if I could tip her instead as she was the one who helped me she made me aware of who she was and why the waiter was unable to assist. She refused to take the generous tip I was offering as she is the manger. This not only displays her character but also her integrity. I still left the waiter a tip because I understood. But Katie is beyond exceptional and deserves the highest praise. She was helpful, responsive, friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. She is the platinum standard of customer service. Now I know some might say it’s her job but I say in this current climate she did her job when no one was watching which to me speaks volumes. I have been coming here for over 9 years and this was by far the best service I have received.

It hadbeen awhile since we've been here. Thought we would try it again. It was a little disappointing from previous times. The waiter was very nice but seemed very overworked. This is the service was slow and the food was slow to come out. When it came out the salmon was overcooked. they had karaoke last night and it was very loud!

I've been ordering the same pasta dish to-go every time for the last couple years. One time, my to-go order was partially wrong. I called and offered to bring it right back, but I was told by the server not to worry; and that my next one was on the house. The next time I placed the (same) order, it was like pulling teeth to get the manager to honor the promise - but he did, almost reluctantly. Ever since, whenever I place the same order, I get snarky comments from servers, staff, and even regulars that were there that day, as if it was my fault that time. Everything about the servers and staff is snarky with a touch of condescending attitude, and I generally dislike the vibes I get from the place. I do, however, like that pasta dish that I always order to-go, so I am torn. Just wish they could completely change the staff and return to the old Shooters.

Food was excellent! Fish and chips were fried to perfection and the oven roasted chicken sandwich was delicious! They accommodated well for my allergy also. Only four stars because the did charge for the change of side with the sandwich when I couldn’t have anything fried due to allergy and I got the only other option which was Mac and cheese but I wasn’t a huge fan of and only took a bite of. They also up charged for swapping out one of the sides with the fish and chips. Otherwise it was great!
Bartender spent more time looking at his phone than seeing who needed a drink. Then pours me second beer with 4 inches of foam. Not a fan of his

I felt some type of discrimination when I went there early afternoon by the manager. I felt I should have never spent any money or time going there. Being a neighborhood bar they should treat everyone very welcoming. They have no idea who walks into their establishment regardless of race and color. Very disappointed.

We stumbled upon this place by chance on a Monday evening after several hours of traveling, and only once we got there did we discover they had a half-price burger promotion — a very pleasant surprise! We ordered four burgers (all served with fries) and including tax, we paid only $37.60. The staff was friendly and welcoming, while the atmosphere was casual but cozy, with nice background music. The only small downside was the air conditioning, which was a bit strong for what we’re used to in Italy but nothing that ruined the experience. The food was tasty and the vibe was relaxed. Definitely a place we’d recommend if you’re in the area!

Where is boomer, this white lady tonight gave very much why are we there (blacks) had two glasses of wine and tried to charge us 45$ (wine off brand, I am a bartender)…ignored us the majority of the time..extremely rude for not taking our card, pretty much forcing us to pay cash…never again but I will keep speaking!
