This is the strangest place I’ve been. We live right down the street so we came here about 3 times since we moved here. The first time was fine, food was good. The second time we were told the dining room was closed and we had to sit at the bar to order food. I thought fine it’s a bit late, however the food took forever and the drink I got at the bar was not good. Third time again we had to sit at a high top cuz the dining room was closed. This confuses me because the bar was packed and then they have an empty dining room when the kitchen is still open. Anyways, we got sliders that were burnt and we watched our food it in the kitchen window for a good ten minutes. Again drinks were subpar. Everytime we go everyone is super drunk so when we want a later dinner it’s annoying to have to sit at the bar to eat. We went tonight to eat and again dining room was closed at 9:50 which astounded me. When the guy came to the host stand he turned the dining room sign so it said section closed, it seemed very odd. And when we looked at the bar there was no room so we literally had to leave bc their dining room was closed again. I’m just very confused why you would turn away paying guests because you don’t feel like cleaning a table? I almost get the feeling that they try to make us feel as unwelcome as possible. I hope I’m just imagining that though.

I love this little dive in bar, I never had any problems before whenever I go. The servers are on point and bartenders just the same. Everyone needs a job which is completely acceptable. The management is trash unfortunately. Leave to their own devices (owner) this place would have been out of business a long time ago. Fortunately the staff is literally carrying this little dive in on their underpaid shoulder. Hate to admit it but spending 80 bucks hers won't cut it for the owner, and I understand life is life but nothing I say will keep the regulars away that keeps this gem in business honestly. I not going to stop going but the owner makes me feel like I should so maybe I will. I love the establishment and the good vibes not the oppression of your customers or your employees.

This was my first and last time coming here. You want a local bar with a better atmosphere and WAAAAY BETTER SERVICE go to Reynolds Street Bar & Grill. Bartenders are so personable, you're greeted right away and you don't have to wait a long time for someone to come over and ask if you want a drink or something to eat. Go there instead!

I can't tell you a thing about the food. We ordered food and while we waited we could see back in the kitchen. We were able to see the cook while he was stuffing food in his mouth and licking his fingers. Sorry, we had to leave. That is just disgusting!!! 0 stars for them.

Came here for drinks last night and had a pleasant experience overall. My only complaints are the stairs leading to the bathroom downstairs are pretty slippery & there’s not much bar seating/that area in general is really cramped.

I live next to them as of last month. Irish pubs are always 5 stars.
My kiddos and I ventured over to Shooter McGees today for the first time. Katie was our server and she was very nice and attentive. She gave the kids things to color as we waited. We enjoyed her energy throughout our meal experience. Food came out very quickly! Kids enjoyed the fish and chips as well as fried shrimp ?. Fries were just ok. I had the crab/lobster cake and it tasted pretty good. The side salad was ok and spinach was fantastic. Spinach had great great flavor. Katie brought my son a number of hot sauces for his shrimp and he loved the variety! They also loved the icecream at the end - very good.
For the areas of improvement:
The restaurant could use some extra cleaning. There was food on the floor and seats.
The ambience in the place itself was interesting. Outside of Katie (who was amazing), folks who worked there were not very friendly to us. It was hard not to notice. Even from the moment we walked in - the only person who greeted us, was Katie - she even went as far as learning our names so that she'd remember us...
We observed that was not the case for others who entered the restaurant. My 8 year old even noticed. That says a lot.
The ambience and making customers feel welcome and their business is appreciated - is what keeps folks coming back.
We just didn't feel that today.

It’s hard to judge because coming in we were warned from staffed that they were under staffed at the moment. Trying to be as modest as I can knowing that food was subpar i felt while understaffed it took way too long to get answers by means(Especially when the staffer you asked the question to comes by your table several times with now response)it wasn’t packed. Fries with Sammy were basically just give any other type of potato please. Had no idea they split drinks and food on the bill. Since visiting and I like to experience news foods that are not local to me maybe I’ll try them again but on this trip.

This is a pub style eatery. Typical bar food. Nothing special. I got the fish and chips. I was brought a plate full of French fries and 4 tiny kiddie sized fish sticks. The seasoning and taste were great. The portion was a rip-off. I also ordered a cocktail that had about a teaspoon of alcohol in it. I wouldn't come here again.
