This place is a hidden gem!! The ingredients are simple but delicious. I highly recommend the skrimp tacos and the Nashville chicken sandwich, both are amazing. The fries are also some of the best in town. The employees are very kind and friendly, and they bring the food to your table if you’re eating in. Decent prices also.
Check this place out, you won’t regret it!! It’s become a regular lunch spot for me

Ordered the Shack Pack w/ Whiting, 10/10. The Caramel Apple Delight, 2/10. I thought it was going to be warm, it’s refrigerated. A bunch of whipped cream w/ sliced apples.
The meal came with Tartar & Cocktail sauce packets on the sides of the container, I almost missed them. Just a heads up.

My husband and I visited the Skrimp Shack in Alexandria, Va for the first time last night, and we were very impressed. The seafood was perfectly seasoned, and both the flounder and fried shrimp were delicious. My husband ordered the grilled cod with shrimp, which had an authentic outdoor-grilled flavor. The portions were generous and filling, and the customer service was outstanding.

I’m in love!!!! Today I tried the shrimp tacos, I chose grilled. SO GOOOD! Staff, possibly the manager was so welcoming, and doubled checked that we were happy with our food. Will probs be back in a few days hahaha

Cannot believe the only excellent fried fish spot in the DMV has only a 4.2 rating...so delicious & fresh...fried fish, shrimp, greens, fried okra, cornbread, etc! The huge fish sandwich & the shack pack are our family's favorites! There are so many other choices! Wow...wish you had a spot in Southern MD!!!

Found a blue string in the potato salad. The sandwiches have way too much sauce.
We were driving down Route 1, saw this place, read the reviews, and figured we’d give it a shot. Big mistake. The food was hot, cool, that’s the bare minimum. We got two fish sandwiches and shared a shrimp basket. I’ll give credit where it’s due—the shrimp were actually good and fried right.
Everything else? Trash. Both fish sandwiches were bland, falling apart, and completely dry. No mayo, no mustard, no tartar sauce—nothing. We asked for pickles and didn’t get a single one. The sides were just as bad. The mac and cheese was watery and overly milky, and the coleslaw clearly wasn’t southern or even close.
And the sweet tea? Tasted like brown water. Zero sweetness. If they ran out of sugar, they should’ve just said that.
If all you want is fried shrimp, fine, this place might work. But we’re definitely not going out of our way to eat here again. Not worth it.

Took my dog to the vet and decided to get something to eat. I was on the way to the Chinese place next door and saw this establishment so I went in to look. Then gentleman greeted me right away. He explained what meals consited of what and although i planned to get chinese; his professionalsm and customer service made me want to patronize this establishment. I placed my order, was instructednon where to find utensils and drinks, and waited for my food. When it was ready another nice gentleman brought it to me!! Stellar customer service and the food is DELICIOUS!!!!! I got the Mondy $10 special 2 pieces of whiting, 4 shrimp, fries and piece of cornbread!!😋 I also grabbed a banana pudding!!! This place is a gem💎!!
