Order matcha everyday and I know the difference between 3 scoops and 4. I asked for 3 scoops of iced matcha and light ice. Waited for almost 20 minutes instead of 3-6 as mentioned in the app. The matcha wasn’t even blended well (if only at least that would be done well I wouldn’t even say a word then). Spending 50$ every day at Starbucks and getting this type of service is horrible. Especially knowing that I am always nice to them even though they mess us with my orders everyday but that can happen and everything is ok if only I don’t get such attitude and screaming at me. I also worked in customer service and this is not what a loyal customer should get. Especially still being nice and saying everything polite. Got a horrible attitude from the woman working there today and screaming at me saying I am wrong and she is right. That’s the worst experience ever. Usually the staff is very very nice here but the lady working today 06.06.2025 at 1:25pm was incredibly rude and arrogant.

Cute Starbucks set in historic building. Love that they kept this the way it was and didn't modernize it too much. Nice place to sit and get a coffee. Drinks were good. One barista was a little confused and it took him several tries to correctly input our order, but the other one got the drinks made right the first time and both were friendly.

Warning: staff at the store allow aggressive non-service dogs into the store and do nothing when the dogs attempt to bite people. I was at the store and my toddler, who was sitting on a chair in a corner. She was aggressively snapped out by two non-service dogs as another customer walked by with them— my child was quietly drinking her milk and did not even reach out to the animals. It was a completely unprovoked attack. These dogs had already been acting inappropriately in the store, whining and jumping, but the staff did not do anything to deal with the situation. We are incredibly lucky that I was able to intervene in time and prevent a dog bite. The staff who saw the situation shrugged their shoulders and turned away, refusing to even engage with the customer or me. I am so disappointed in Starbucks and the fact that they nearly allowed a child to get bitten by a dog in their store.

The staff are great and efficient. I would love to give them five stars, but I can't recommend this as a place to study/work which is the main thing I look for in a coffee shop.
Every time I've tried to set up camp here, there have been lots of loud kids that parents do little to nothing to control.
Also, they only have one restroom. This wouldn't be a problem if everyone in Alexandria City wasn't trying to use it at all times. I'm not joking. Seriously.

Starbucks in Old Town on the waterfront is a delightful place to rest and enjoy a great cup of coffee or tea. Love this historic building and location for a resting place after a walk along the water.

Barking dogs here today. I didn't think dogs were allowed but there were 3, and 1 barked a lot. Obviously the owner didn't do much to quiet the pooch, but it was annoying to enjoy my coffee. My problem, so I left.

As a business owner, I truly appreciate this Starbucks. It’s the perfect spot to sit for hours and get work done on my laptop. The customer service is consistently good, and even during busy times, they keep things moving and get your order out quickly. The environment is productive yet welcoming.

The two employees we encountered here (one who took my order and the other who made my drink) need a lesson in customer service. No welcome greeting or a thank you whatsoever to their customers. We noticed only one employee named Ling that was personable and smiled at everyone she made drinks for. Whoever is doing the hiring here, hire more people like Ling.
