Nice place overall, but worst birria ever. It was just beef cooked in water. The consume was just beefy water. Please get a new recipe.

The taste is ok but the taste authenticity is not there at all. I had chilaquiles with chicken and it was horrendous. I will give this place another chance in the future and might change my opinion.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Not only is the quality is terrible but the preparation and presentation is terrible. I’m having Stomach pain all night… sorry guys but your tacos are terrible. I feel gross

Food was delicious, vegan chorizo and papas were great. Definitely recommend tacos for 2. Will try meat options soon. Music was a bit too loud.

As a Mexican American who’s spent time living and eating my way through CDMX, I can confidently say this is the most authentic Mexican taqueria in the entire DMV. Yes, I drove from DC just to try it, and it was absolutely worth it. Every bite from my al pastor (super authentic), carnitas and sips from my horchata, transported me back to Mexico City. This place isn’t just good, it’s legit.

So disappointing. Pricing excellent. Fun to watch food made.
Soft Shell crab tacos seriously! So excited 2 for $16 WHAT!
Soft Shell Crab, delicate smother it with crud all you taste is the crud (1). But the worst.
Their dredge, way over seasoned. Oil wasn’t hot enough so crab oily. I scraped all the crud off, inedible so salty/seasoned and bitter. Then I tried to peel off the dredge, saw it oil soaked…in the circular!
I’m a San Diego girl, we drove to Baja and ate coastal seafood all the time. Simple, the fish, shrimp was the star, some grilled onion, jalapeño lime tons of cilantro a slice of avacado and salt. Alto! Too bad.
If you have to kill it with Old Bay or whatever? Then you’re covering up bad seafood!

I’m 8 months pregnant & was heavily craving horchata & tacos de asada. I go to take my first sip of the horchata and the texture was like yogurt. it was very slimy. My husband got up to ask the employee if the texture was normal & the employee assured us it was. I have never had slimy horchata in my life. Both my husband and I only took 1 sip and left them on the table unfinished. I don’t know if it was simply made wrong or if the milk they made it with was spoiled. Either way it was disgusting. It was also unusually warm in the dining area, I might as well have sat outside. there was no air conditioning.

This was my first time here. I was just looking for some decent food and I found them through google since they were the closet to me. I came basically when they just opened. I got fish tacos without avocado and margaritas. The tacos were good. The margaritas were good but I was a bit upset bc the margaritas were premixed and the strawberry basil margaritas had no basil. I’m thinking muddled basil or something but nope, just strawberry flavoring. Since it cost more than a regular margarita I guess I was expecting something different but it was still decent.
The bartender said she was getting off soon and needed to close the tab-weird bc they just opened…
Anyways, there was no soap in the women’s bathroom and I told an employee and she said she’d handle it, she never did.
The employees were nice. I might come back and try other things. The menu isn’t that big either. Not a huge issue, but just saying.
Very good Mexican food- I got the torta and elote and both were fantastic. The food is delicious. However, the service was disappointingly slow.

food was ok; employees refused to provide larger to go containers for salsa bar items like radish, limes, onions etc. had to use a water cup. too loud inside
response to owner: ‘too small’ is not advanced english - there wasn’t a language barrier; your employees were just not willing to help. you admit to refusing extra packaging, albeit rarely

So good had to come back for it!!! The Paloma picoso is chef’s kiss. Authentic flavors and amazing service.
One of the most atrocious restaurant experiences that I have ever had. The “bartender” woman that was working on Saturday, June 28th at 5:45pm made two horrible tasting drinks that both tasted like salty gasoline. I politely asked her to remake the Paloma and classic margarita and instead of accommodating a customer request, she felt the need to rudely argue with me and then poured the drink into a new glass (right in front of me) and said enjoy. Obviously it was the exact same drink that stilled tasted awful, so I asked her to remake the drink from scratch or just provide a refund, of which she did neither. To whoever the manager of this place is, please have this woman take a customer service 101 class and send her to a bartending school so she actually learns how to make basic drinks. Appalling service.
