So good had to come back for it!!! The Paloma picoso is chef’s kiss. Authentic flavors and amazing service.

One of the most atrocious restaurant experiences that I have ever had. The “bartender” woman that was working on Saturday, June 28th at 5:45pm made two horrible tasting drinks that both tasted like salty gasoline. I politely asked her to remake the Paloma and classic margarita and instead of accommodating a customer request, she felt the need to rudely argue with me and then poured the drink into a new glass (right in front of me) and said enjoy. Obviously it was the exact same drink that stilled tasted awful, so I asked her to remake the drink from scratch or just provide a refund, of which she did neither. To whoever the manager of this place is, please have this woman take a customer service 101 class and send her to a bartending school so she actually learns how to make basic drinks. Appalling service.

I really don’t like leaving bad reviews, but our experience at Taqueria Picoso was genuinely awful. The food was not authentic at all. We ordered the enchiladas suizas and tacos de bistec both were downright disgusting. The flavors were bland, the meat was dry, and nothing tasted fresh. My husband, who will normally eat anything without complaint, couldn’t even finish his food. That says a lot.
To make matters worse, the customer service was just as disappointing. The person taking our order was rude, rushed us (even though there was no line), and gave me attitude when I asked to use the handwashing station — complete with a dirty look like I was annoying her.
Between the terrible food and unwelcoming staff, we left feeling completely let down. We had high hopes, but I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for real, good Mexican food or decent service. Please go to a local AUTHENTIC taqueria you will not be disappointed.

Incredible Mexican food, drinks and sides. Great atmosphere and service. Highly recommend giving it a try, especially during Happy Hour.

I wish I had taken a photo. Maybe Taqueria Picoso will insert one….😀. But if you are looking for the best summer hotdog, I highly recommend the Sonoran Hotdog!!! All the toppings are on the side so you are able to create the hotdog perfect for you. I chose to put them all on my hotdog and it was delicious!

Food was made to order and it was so yummy. They also have outdoor seating which is nice for families with kids. Inside seating is family friendly too. The extras/side menu is perfect for ordering meal portions for the kids. My 5 year old really enjoyed the chicken quesadillas. Their guacamole was very fresh.

I googled this place before going thinking my experience would be like the other customers well their customer service sucked their classic margarita sucked the food I ordered sucked. When I asked to get another drink the lady just stared at me did not respond smh I had better at chili’s 🌶️ and would’ve paid less for better food.

Love the Mexican vibe, being from Mexico…not very athletic.
The salsa isn’t spicy and the tortillas aren’t as home made as they say it was. Very small portions for prices.

Taqueria Picoso is fantastic! Tacos were delicious and service was friendly and fast. 10/10!

this is easily the best and most authentic Mexican food I've ever had in Alexandria. Everything is fresh and interesting and delicious. Go eat there now! 😀

I am a Tejano who has lived in the DC area the last 14 years. Today, my eyes welled up with joyful tears as I bit into pozole that tasted like home! Like my mom, tia or Buela made it!! My eyes and tastebuds are in shock and so happy! I had the carnitas tacos, elote and pozole. Excellent and cannot wait to return. ☺️☺️🥲🍋‍🟩🍲🙌🙏

Dietary restrictions: I cannot do very spicy with some GI issues and they were able to make the elote with just cheese and mayo- was delicious!! 🙏☺️

Delicious Oaxacan corn tortillas made in house. What more needs to be said? Great service, friendly staff, and a solid salsa bar to match the full bar in the front of the house. We will be back!
