Tasteful Affairs Catering

It's been almost a year since our wedding so I am quite late on this, but Tasteful Affairs delivered everything we wanted during our special day! Emilie and Kristen were extremely detailed in all of the things they provided, like the food and drinks being served to the table dress-up and placement for the reception. We had such a great experience working with the team, from our first phone call and email communications, our taste test/showroom visit, and finally to our actual wedding day. And of course, the table settings for dinner were absolutely beautiful and the meals and cocktails during our wedding day were spectacular!

We hired Tasteful Affairs for our small wedding, and it was truly one of the best decisions we made. The food was incredible—our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was! We had a mix of traditional dishes from our home cultures (Haiti and Nigeria), and our families were so pleased with how beautifully everything came out. It felt authentic, flavorful, and made with love.

From the start, working with Emilie was an absolute breeze. She went above and beyond in every way and honestly felt like a quasi-wedding planner at times with how thoughtful and attentive she was throughout the process. On the day of the wedding, her team was warm, professional, and all smiles—despite the summer heat!

We are so grateful to Tasteful Affairs for helping make our wedding day feel so special and personal. We will absolutely be using them again for future events and will recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer who truly cares and delivers on every level.

First off, the food was delicious. We had a pescatarian lunch and passed apps and all our guests loved all the food. People were commenting to us throughout the day. Not only was it delicious, but Emilie worked closely with us to craft the perfect menu for our envisioned wedding.

Beyond the food and drink(which was also excellent and easy), Emilie was essential to helping us plan our wedding day. Her knowledge of the industry, other vendors, and our location (River Farm) were so helpful. She really helped bring our vision alive, from the big picture decisions to the minor details.

Emilie and her team made our dream wedding come true! We could tell they truly valued our opinions and put all of their effort into making sure everything went smoothly. We loved the unique menu options we could choose to make sure this wasn't your typical wedding fare. From chicken and waffle cones to bibimbap served in takeout containers, we heard nothing but rave reviews from our guests. The bar service was quick and the bartenders kept the good vibes going!! In addition to the amazing food, Emilie helped us choose linens and dish ware that just amped up our colorful disco vibes. She really listened to everything we wanted and helped us keep things unique. Whenever we had questions she answered patiently and she was realistic with budget expectations. We loved working with her and would recommend her every time!

I manage a 76,000 sq. ft. facility on the Potomac River that is quirky, yet beautiful and can fit over 200 guests. However, it is a difficult load-in for vendors who are not organized and prepared. In addition to T.A. being extremely organized, they are wonderful women. I love supporting women-owned businesses, that are family-owned. They are fantastic with our mutual clients and go above and beyond to provide exceptional service. And the food, the food never disappoints. The food is fresh, and creative and always receives compliments. I get so excited when I know they are catering at my venue. I could not be prouder to call them reliable vendors and friends of my venue.

Hiring Tasteful Affairs was the best decision we made for our wedding. I talked to several other caterers on our venue's list, and not only were they the most affordable, their food was delicious, and they were also the nicest and easiest to work with putting a proposal together. Emilie goes above and beyond, and I sometimes felt like she knew what I wanted better than I did. We got lots of compliments from guests on the food, and the room and tables were set up perfectly and looked more beautiful than I hoped. You can't go wrong working with them!

Tasteful Affairs was recommended on the list of caterers from our venue, and we got so lucky that they were on it! From the start, something I noted when reaching out to them was how responsive they were, and that really was not the case with certain other caterers. Emilie and Kristen are lovely to work with and offered reassurance that made us feel confident they wanted to bring our vision for our wedding to life (and succeeded in doing so!) The food was excellent, the service so friendly and the set up seamless. I cannot recommend them highly enough and we are so happy they were a part of our wedding!

We got married in May of 2023 and used Tasteful Affairs as our caterer. Our experience with Tasteful Affairs was wonderful! Everyone at the catering company that we interacted with was friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. Their food, service, and execution of the event was also incredible. All of our guests were impressed with how delicious the food was for a 150 person wedding. Emilie in particular was fun and easy to work with, and also had great suggestions when we were indecisive. She knows her stuff, and we so much appreciated working with her and her team. We’d highly recommend this catering company for all events, particularly weddings!

I contacted Tasteful Affairs for a company reception and they did a fabulous job. To add to the complexity of the service from Tasteful Affairs, I was planning the reception from another state. They were very helpful in visiting the venue for the reception and working with the venue to determine the best way to execute the event. They also helped pick the best menu options. The planning and the event went seamlessly and I would recommend this to anyone!
