Visiting from out of town and found this to be a great breakfast stop. Prices are reasonable and the food quality is high.
The atmosphere is classic and cozy.

Great spot to pick up breakfast in the area. The pastries were okay but the food was great.

Always good coffee and food. Busy, because it's good and worth it.

Food was amazing. I wanted one of everything. I am going to have to come back a few time to try all the amazing food. We had the lamb hash, oatmeal and 2 of the sandwiches. The layers of flavors were awesome. Great texture to each dish. I also had the Tatte Latte which was unique and layered with flavors. Not “coffee”
Like you know it but more “chai” in flavors.

I had a lovely time! I came in a couple of weeks ago and had wonderful service from a girl (I think her name is Bella?) I meant to leave a review that day but she was so great and helped me pick out some INCREDIBLE pastries that were a hit with my friends. Will 100% be coming back and would recommend to anyone looking for some incredible pastries and sweet atmosphere

From our handful of data points, the food is quite good if they're not busy. Quality and busy-ness are noticeably inversely related. The food we had on busy days had issues across the board, and no easy way to remedy it without standing in the huge line again

Delicious food! Large selection of pastries and desserts as well as drinks. They were out of a couple items, but as to be expected since we came later in the day. Cute outdoor patio to sit and eat.

The pistachios latte and turmeric latte are just great. We also loved the halva bomb!

No words for the black sesame latte. It was pure perfection. Delicious with oat milk. Not too sweet at all. I can’t wait to be back in town and stop in for another latte. Avocado toast was also delicious and filling.

I really love the ambiance here and the food is very good. The ham and cheese quiche was delicious. However, when the server brought it out, it was a bit cold, unfortunately. But thankfully, a manager came to our table to ask if everything was good. I told him about the luke warm quiche and he kindly put in another order for me. The 2nd quiche was hot and delicious.
Later, I returned to the counter to order a coffee and the pistachio cherry tart. I received a number for my order and returned to my table. My coffee came out right away, but my tart didn't arrive until I asked about it. Evidently, the person who took my order was supposed to give me the tart right away at the counter as the pastries are located right there. No one made this clear, not even the lady who took my order. I eventually received my tart and it was quite delicious.
Overall, I really love the concept and ambiance, but the service has room for improvement.
I hope the management team is reading the customer reviews as many are accurate based on the experience I had today. PLEASE work out the kinks with service and ordering or this business will struggle after tourist season ends. There are too many other options in Alexandria for the locals to tolerate subpar service.
With all this being said, I will return for another visit. I know it takes time to get a restaurant up and running.

I have given this place a few tries, without success. It's not the location, the atmosphere, nor the food. It's the people who don't seem to pay attention to what one orders...and when brought to their attention, they try to convince you to take what you didn't order. If I wanted an egg sandwich, I would have ordered an egg sandwich. I said a simple, soft, scrambled egg... how hard could that be?! I lost my appetite....walked out. Do you see why folks walk across the street to get their coffee? It's because simplicity and accuracy mean they don't have to look to see if they got what they ordered.

I met two dear friends here for a late day catch up. While I’ve been to this location many times, I’d not been after 6pm. The atmosphere was quiet and there were not many people so we were able to grab a corner table with a nice view.
We enjoyed our food selections. I ordered the tomato soup, which was flavorful albeit very salty and room temperature and barely warm.
One friend also ordered the tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich—I sampled the sandwich and it was good with not too much cheese and the sourdough type bread was classic and perfectly browned. She added water to lessen the thickness of soup and cut down on the saltiness.
My other friend selected a ham and cheese quiche, with a small salad—she is an admitted quiche connoisseur and she enjoyed it.
My pre dinner drink — a hot oatmilk matcha latte was just okay—it was quite frothy and nowhere near hot. I prefer their iced matchas that are more refreshing and do not suffer from lukewarm mediocrity. Another fave from this summer was the turmeric honey latte—chef’s kiss delish.
Bottom line: Tatte proved to be a nice location to catch up—easy, accessible, bright and casual. For the occasion, I’m glad we picked it (although the food and drinks did not wow).

If you don’t tip (which you shouldn’t since you’re ordering it yourself and seating first come first serve), they mess with your food.
Ordered turkey blt and it came with two thin slices. 90% of the sandwich was bread. WTH?

My favorite Tatte in The district. Rosie makes the best turmeric honey latte I highly recommend you start your day with!

Most disgusting eggs I've ever had. The eggs were running and bland. Looks like a big blob of slime that children play with. I almost spit it out but swallow it down with water. And the potato fritters were undercooked.
The bacon was okay and baked goods items were good.
Normally when I come, I only get baked goods and coffee-I think I will stick to that.
