Went for a date night with my husband, and we loved everything. The cocktails were fantastic. All of the food was delicious and high quality.

My husband and I visited this restaurant the day before Valentine’s Day, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere immediately felt off—the five employees standing at the hostess stand fell silent, some rolled their eyes, and a few even turned their backs. Despite this, I politely asked for a table for two. The restaurant had plenty of open seating, yet we were placed in the back near a side door.

Our server, however, was very polite and accommodating. The chips and salsa were delicious, and my husband ordered a veggie quesadilla while I got the ceviche sampler. We also ordered drinks well before our appetizers, but oddly, the appetizers arrived first. We each had several tacos, which were just okay.

The most shocking part of the night happened at the end of our meal. As we were finishing our drinks after paying, a busboy cleaning the table next to us turned to my husband and said, *"I think they’re looking for you,"* while pointing outside to a police car. I was completely offended and asked my husband if we could leave immediately. As we walked out, we were thanked for coming—likely because we had left a generous tip.

Overall, the service was quick, and I’d rate the food a 3/5. But the unwelcoming atmosphere and the inappropriate comment from the busboy made this a place we will never return to. Even though it’s right around the corner, I’d rather travel 15 minutes to Guapo’s in Shirlington for a better experience.

The drinks are great the tacos are just okay. They tortillas are not warmed and the fillings as unique as they are some times come out cold. I think they have a great breakfast but for dinner it’s hard to find much to like. The servers can just be okay I have gone and have had the servers just walk around and not refill water.

Expensive for a top shelf drink. One margarita with DJ was $17 and $5.50 up charge for making it a Cadillac— a bit much for one drink and mostly ice in the glass. I wish she would have told me it would be $25 for one. No food this time.

The service was a bit disappointing. When the waitress gave me a menu when I sat down at a table, I was looking for tacos which were not in the menu. I asked the waitress about it and she pointed to a separate order form for tacos. She didnt mention it when I got to the table. Also, I waited so long for the receipt after the waitress ran my credit card using a small electronic card reader device. About the quality of food, I ordered two steak tacos and they came in smaller than I had expected. It was expensive and small.
I don’t think I would ever return to the restaurant.

Tequila and Taco was a delightful gem to discover! The food was delicious, flavorful, and incredibly filling. Our experience was made even better by the exceptional service. Our server called us “family” and was so warm, welcoming, and inviting—it truly felt like dining at a friend’s house.

We started with chips and salsa, which were fantastic. The salsa had a mild kick that we loved, and the chips were perfectly crisp without being overly salty. Our server made sure the salsa kept coming so we always had some on hand—a thoughtful touch we appreciated.

My kids loved their apple cider slushies, a seasonal offering that was fun, refreshing, and perfect for them.

For our meal, we ordered a variety of dishes, and everything came out very quickly. Highlights included the fajita bowl, classic enchiladas with pulled chicken, Carne Asada tacos, and classic nachos with grilled chicken. I opted for the vegan cauliflower and kale taco and the spiced sweet potato taco, wrapped in lettuce instead of tortillas. I really appreciated the lettuce wrap option, and both tacos were absolutely delicious with generous, flavorful fillings.

My husband ordered the blackened salmon taco and the kale and cauliflower taco. While he enjoyed the flavors, he mentioned the salmon was slightly overcooked and preferred the veggie taco. Our kids devoured their meals, leaving no leftovers to take home—a clear sign of their approval!

Overall, the dishes were fresh, vibrant, and satisfying. While there was a small issue with the salmon, it didn’t take away from an otherwise great dining experience.

Tequilas and Tacos is a must-visit, and we’re looking forward to coming back soon!

Nice place, but the dishes barely have any meat. We got two different burritos, and both of them were mainly just rice and beans.

This place has alright food, but during my employment, I worked and after being removed from work. They asked further documents that I didn’t need to work there so they wouldn’t have to pay. They offered food. And after almost three weeks of being removed from the job they have agreed to pay me after two more weeks.

Had to change review, this place was good for about a yr...now rather go to Taco Bell. Tacos look like a Jackson Pollock painting, big mess, they don't season, sweet potatoes hard as a brick n my taco, shrimp bland, beans taste like college ruled paper, rice like wallpaper. District Taco is better than this place & that's saying a lot. Go to Taco Bamba, those are tacos

Had dinner there while visiting Alexandria. Fast and friendly service, food is nothing exceptional, generally, but the churros were very good and we really enjoyed their Margarita Flight.
